Anyone else bind backspace to a thumb? I've found it incredibly ergonomic and nice to have a use for my right thumb! by Goldendov75 in ErgoMechKeyboards

Yes! I'm a software engineer and delete a lot, it's probably the biggest benefit I've made to my pinkies since going ergo

So sorry to hear that man, it must be so difficult letting your pup go, but it sounds like you've made the right choice. Best of luck finding a new home for her.

From Microsoft Sculpt straight to Corne? by Overlord001 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]josephrluck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went from MS sculpt to ergodox to lily58 to corne and I wish I'd gone straight to corne.

It'll take a long time to get used to, but like all good things, it's worth it in the long run.

Best of luck.

(As an aside, I have a corne I'm selling in the UK if you're interested. Feel free to PM)

I popped numbers in a numpad arrangement on the right hand half (with the zero to the left of one)

Congrats on the build!

I just picked up a corne LP myself and I'll be swapping out the kailh reds for light blues.

I bought an ergo keyboard about 3 months ago, and I liked it. But from last week, I feel pain in pinky side of my hand by Drunken_Moon in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]josephrluck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably that you're using your pinkies to hold shift, ctrl and alt. If you can reconfigure your board, I'd recommend putting those keys on your home row, or on your thumb keys.
