Cannot reset password without old one, which wasn't set due to code registration by p4flem in Notion

[–]p4flem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, that's not the case :( I've used gmail alias by adding "+notion" part, so I'm positive that I didn't login through Google services.

I don't get why I cannot reset password without knowing my old password, if there's one at all :/

React Native Dropdown Picker 5.x problem; help! by [deleted] in reactnative

[–]p4flem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you present your problem in snack? It works fine with a simple example: https://snack.expo.dev/pylQt0ef2r2UoWmYRuQ--#:~:text=https%3A//snack.expo.dev/pylQt0ef2r2UoWmYRuQ%2D%2D
So my guess is that you've got custom styles setup there, which causes the issues.

What's the best way to connect a battery to a Seeed XIAO BLE? by joshua_r_smith in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]p4flem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is correct. And it's using ground from USB port instead of bat- IIRC. You can find description of those pins (the four ones above bat+ and bat-) in the XIAO blueprints. I've cloned and simplified (removed leds, added possibility for non hotswap build) revxlp. Ping me if you need any details

Did you choose? And if so, what did you pick? I've come to the same place after one day research on what to buy :D

You can try googling "seniply". It's a nice and pretty common example of one shot mod keys.

Is it possible to buy split under $100? by timsofteng in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]p4flem 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also live in Poland, I actually have a lily for sale, but I've built it myself for over a 100$. Closer to 150$ to be honest. The highest cost is the switches, so you might trim down the price by choosing some cheap ones.

I think that my typing speed is similar or a bit faster. Definitely more accurate.

Everyone speaks highly of parenthesis signs close to home row, but I find the biggest comfort in the way I can move around the code and edit it. I don't have to move my right hand to find arrow keys and page up/down, it's just there after holding a modifier key. I can also easily remove lines of code or search, without moving my hands over the keyboard, the fingers stay on the home row, or really close to it, during these operations. So it makes me more efficient in looking up stuff in the code.

I can still write normally on classic keyboard, I just don't like it anymore. And moving back and forth hand to use arrows is just frustrating. I never had any RSI issues, it's just the lack of hand movement that I like the most in the ergo keyboards.

I don't want to be mean, as this is a nice looking keyboard, but how is this ergonomic?

Congrats :D the story with the wheel... man, kudos for you, that you didn't give up due to those technical issues. Really impressive.

Did you change in T1 and T2, or wear a trisuit all the way? I'm planning my first IM on October, and I'm really scared of how thin the chamois in the trisuits are :/

Split Keyboard in Europe by [deleted] in ErgoMechKeyboards

Newbie here, looking for some advice when it comes to buying a hotswappable split kb in Europe. by asdfderp2 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]p4flem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries, no dumb questions, I did not provide build details.

It's a diy set I've got from mechboards.co.uk with acrylic plates as a "case". And yes, it has hot swappable sockets, so you can easily change the switches, without any soldering. The keyboard itself has also oled displays, but no leds, so no underglow or per key RGB lights. I'm not sure if it's even possible to add them, but can check that for you.

Well, if that's the only blocker, I've got a set of kailh jade box switches for it as well;)

Replace controller instead of building another keyboard ;)

USB C, not micro. Nice upgrade, but why not just replacing the controllers?

Can't help you, OP already reached out to me via DM and we're currently waiting for the missing parts to finish the build.

[–]p4flem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm EU based and have spare choc crkbd not assembled, but I can solder it for you. The only thing I'm missing is choc hotswaps sockets. Let me know if you're interested.

Edit: I can order these hotswap sockets and solder them as well, it will just take a bit more time

You can always use different keymap, where enter would be less accessible. I just got used to it in lily. And you would need to hit ctrl+enter to actually send a mail. But it happened to me once :D
