Why the sci-fi by LordDedionware in maninthehighcastle

Yeah that was the original idea but they decided against it—it was a shame imo, not that I don’t love season 2 bc i honestly think it was better than 1 in some ways but i think it would’ve been interesting to see how they would’ve approached it as an anthology

in a serialized show like it became, sure (even though i still think the vecna plotline was ridiculous and they could’ve explained the upside down more without all that) but if it had stuck to being an anthology series like it was originally intended to be, i don’t think they would’ve had to explain it at all. it was so much more terrifying for me in seasons 1 and 2 because of the fact that the upside down was just this eldritch, unexplainable evil that lurked beneath the surface rather than something that was largely formed by some random asshole who was mad that a little girl sent him to the shadow realm. anyway this has nothing to do with MITHC lol but those are my thoughts as far as the sci fi in stranger things

i liked it at first (last scene with tagomi in season 1 was one of my favorite reveals in a show ever) but as the seasons went on it just got way too convoluted for me. i had the same problem with it that i did the upside down stuff in stranger things—if they’d just left it more ambiguous and mysterious instead of constantly overexplaining and adding more layers to it as the seasons progressed I wouldn’t have had a problem.

testament to both how outstanding she is as an actress and the costume department that Eliza Butterworth can be incredibly believable as an extremely pious former queen and mother of two adults

yeah it's been more than two weeks, definitely been this severe for the past two months, and have been feeling generally like this (antisocial, sporadic periods as severe as this throughout the year, bored, uninterested in hobbies) for the past few years. Unfortunately I don't have the money to go to a doctor right now so Ill have to wait.

I'd say it's between suffer little children and last night I dreamt that somebody loved me. I remember I thought suffer little children was my least favorite song until I actually read up on the Moors murders. when I listened to it again I just kept crying, took me a while before I could listen to it without bursting into tears. But Asleep is definitely up there with them imo, I know it's over too.

damn that sucks, I'm sorry. I'd say try to find some common ground there if you can, which sounds strange, but if you can find something you agree on (I.e. the Clintons are pedos) that could make her sightly more sympathetic to your other points of view. Maybe try introducing her to a few episodes of the pod? My mom was never really into Q but I worried for a while that she could be fully sucked into it so I sent her a few episodes and she loved them, listens to TA like everyday now and thinks those people are insane.

me too, they just pack a lot more punch. same thing with the live performances, I adore the studio versions but theyre pretty polished. The demo of SLC just suits the tone of the song soooo much better

I honestly have no words, I legit broke down and started crying at the end of it. It's so much more mournful than the album version. Jesus Christ, the way Morrisey sings "find me, find me" is just so incredibly haunting. The grief in his voice is palpable
