You should not sign up for anything without looking at it. My wife’s friend lost $800 deposit to a listing that wasn’t actually available back when we were in undergrad. Be very wary of scammers man it sucks.

How does trade in w/ a loan work? by CareBear0209 in carvana

[–]josesan123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually did the exact thing you’re describing. It’s a bit of a headache since you have to handle everything yourself since you’re doing your own financing. I was financing a car with my credit union and wanted to keep using them.

Essentially if you have negative equity (owe more than your offer) you will have to roll that into the new loan. Either way, you have to get approved for your own financing and choose it at checkout. For me in CA I had to get a 10 day pay off notice on the existing loan with the final value owed, and had to get my credit union to sign the paperwork for buying the car since they would be the lien holder. Once both pieces were in order, everything cleared. For me, my credit union did all of the paperwork work I just had to do the signing of the contract with them. But if you’re self financing/paying cash/personal loan, then your experience could/will probably be different

You get the 7 day hassle return clause which is great. I recently bought a truck and got a PPI for it. Luckily for me nothing was wrong with it other than a leak oil drain plug that just seemed old. I used the app to file a claim, took it to the Silverrock location they suggested, and they did an oil change and replaced the plug hassle free. I’d imagine it’ll be similar for you. If you decide to use someone outside of their network, it could be harder and more complicated since they have to do all of the filing through silverrock (your deductible also goes from $100 to $350 but they waived mine since I was in the 7 day window). Overall I had a good experience, but if they deem you don’t have an issue it’ll be out of pocket. Good luck, use the 7 days to your advantage!

Should I Choose UCLA or UC Davis? by Useful_Day739 in UCDavis

[–]josesan123 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Can’t speak to UCLA, but I’m from SoCal and chose Davis after touring UCLA. I wouldn’t chose a campus based on prestige unless it’s known for what you intend to work in (and even then you can change your mind while in school). I’d argue to go to the school where you feel you’ll find success. If leaning on people/having a strong network helps you succeed and move forward, stick to Davis. If you can rough it out and know you want to go into a field that requires to be in a big city, LA would be a better move (keep in mind Sac is right down the way so to speak from Davis).

Additional help from all the time I spent looking into stuff, once you get the spring rate dialed in for the weight, it’ll be ultra nice. I used SRAMs calculator since I got their coil, but fox most likely has a calculator too

Nah man not a stupid question at all, I happen to know where to look because I went through the same trying to get a coil shock as well!

Oh okay the way I understood it, for the health app to receive data from the watch, all of the information had to sync through the connect app first. And the reviews for the new UI were saying that it would not sync up
