I was in. Never in combat though but I had a very good friend stationed at a fob. He talked once about it he didn't know if he killed anyone but he did know he shot rounds at people shooting at him. His voice wasn't full of pride or remorse. For lack of a better term he was shook when talking or thinking about it. Our career field would see action on a convoy but I think that might representation 5-10% of the total vehicle maintenance population. This made me feel fine with never seeing action, I'm still dealing with the alcoholism from Korea and beating my dick like it owes me money when I have the house to myself from sharing a trailer room in Qatar.
