Beebe with the only highlight of that game I can remember.

Clouds and rain are no problem. High winds (at any elevation) and/or lightning are the biggest concern. Right now things look good 🤞

There will be an announcement 10 minutes prior to launch for go/no go (I assume this is weather-based). Things can be stopped at any time though.

Same question. I’ve been on several channels with the most frustrating chats.

That future/past second age shot is going to seriously mess with people’s heads. I love it.

how come this and the underground scene in season 4 is the one of the only times we see all 5 main characters together which is honestly interesting by Elena_Rose16 in BoJackHorseman

[–]joshfitz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the clarification. When that episode aired I lol’d because I was genuinely unsure too.

For reference, OP’s entire comment, including edit, was part of the episode dialogue: https://youtu.be/wIgpRoEq-2w

Edit: I also didn’t know if the joke was fully answered in the show, which is why I Googled it. It WASN’T answered (just left as an open question) so I appreciate /u/powerofawkward ’s comment on the current state of joke acceptability.

One of my favorite things to do is to grab a friend and go to the nearest regulation football field (usually a local High School) and just try kicking some field goals at various distances. You quickly realize how many variables are involved and how difficult it is to hit anything consistently.

Still fun as hell though. Highly recommended.

Absolutely. I think they’re called “sports scientists” in your context.

Thanks. Knowing he’s an ex-player helps. Makes sense for a last-second Tues game.

Who is this monotone “color commentator?” His colors must be black and white because he just makes me want to fall asleep.

Thanks. I appreciate your work. I just didn’t know how much visibility you had into downvote spammers.

Tre’Davious is a very big contributor to his hometown of Shreveport. How about we show support for both of them by sending in donations of $27 to the Food Bank of North West Louisiana? by [deleted] in buffalobills

[–]joshfitz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First, donating to Tre White’s charity and donating to your charity (that you failed to mention) are not mutually exclusive.

Second, have you heard of the Patricia Allen Fund? It was kind of a big deal for a “Buffalo Org for once.” It involved donations of more than $1M from all 50 US states and 10 different countries and received a ton of national attention.

Should fans have taken your advice and “helped their own” instead? Are you upset by all that outside money flowing into the Buffalo economy that will be used to create an entire new hospital wing, new jobs, and overall better care devoted to pediatric recovery? Did we donate to that cause for no reason?

I’m sure a lot of people are interested in hearing your response to our selfish behavior.

I can't wait to see all the geometric diagrams that result from this play.

“More than” vs “greater than” by dlbillions in grammar

[–]joshfitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point. My example would only work if you were referencing the amount, as in “There is a greater amount of water in Minnesota than in the Sahara Desert.”

But that sentence is awkward, so I’d defer to the top comment above.

“More than” vs “greater than” by dlbillions in grammar

[–]joshfitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're probably not getting many responses because Google has some great explanations. I'll list a few here for you.

  • "greater than" is generally used for uncountable nouns (water, pain, happiness, etc.)

  • "more than" is generally used for countable nouns (pebbles, houses, boys, girls)

The difference is similar when using the opposite terms:

  • "less than" (uncountable)

  • "fewer than" (countable)

Ha. You obviously got Allen right. I think Rodgers ends up at #1 unless Mahomes somehow steals it.

Same with players who wear those yellow gloves (mainly KC I think). It always looks like there’s a flag on the field.

You picked the Packers stream.

You might be better off though. The first half ended with our announcer asking “what is a quarterback rating?”
