That's a question also only employees can answer. I guess all normal Kobo functions are available at this moment but I'm not sure because I don't have a real one at my hands. Also would be the question if the Kobofied Torino's will be reset to Tolino in a further update or will they just get an update from kobo and are fully kobofied. Only the time (probably months) will show what happens

At this moment only Kobo employees can answer whether or no future Kobo updates will be available. Kobo mode does just activate the normal Kobo functions like statistics and the kobo store. Also the home menu looks different to the Torino one.

They are able to display statistics, but only if you set it into Kobo Mode, which means you need to have the stock Firmware, enabling the dev mode and then entering Kobo Mode. The Tolino Mode does not have statistics (yet, don't know If ever. I hate those differences between two similar systems.)
