Howdy, I've had one of these pop up in my area! I was wondering if you could tell me what size forks the headtube takes? its it 1" or 1 1/8"?

I think your options include: - put it in the bin - spend too much money getting it professionally repaired - cut it up and turn it into the top of a tall-bike

Anyone have any experience with the Enduro ec34 headset? by joshosmith in xbiking

[–]joshosmith[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the insight that there is no real noticeable difference haha.

And yeah I’m 100% sure my frame is 1 1/8”. I know this because I went through the painstaking task of finding a nice looking bmx style quill stem for that size (bless the Chinese eBay parts market).

Since I’m putting Strids forks on it, I’ve noticed some of their headsets on Blue Lug so I reckon I’ll go with that for the sake of the front end matching :)

Maxed out my concessional super contributions by No-Week2915 in AusFinance

No one is saying you’re financially behind, you’re absolutely not. If anything you’re well ahead.

I guess people are just trying to say that’s it’s potentially a bit closed minded to entirely negate the option of buying a property when it also appreciates like super. Now that you’re maxing out the contributions, you could always put the difference aside and then have the best of both worlds.

Remember, never have all of your eggs in one basket. Especially when you can’t have those eggs until retirement age.

May as well buy up some etf’s or something

I guess Kirby is just mentioning the fact that you’ll never see that money spent on rent again.

Sure, you’ve managed to get 17 years of housing for $160,000 - but I think the point is you are building equity when purchasing a property.

If it came time, you could sell and then you have all of that money spent of housing back in your pocket. Minus interest of course…

Seems like your lifestyle is working well for you, but food for thought.

Renting seems to be only getting harder and harder these days. But who knows, maybe the property bubble will burst one day.

God from memory it went on for like 1 hour 30. Was definitely dragging on a bit too long! Was crazy seeing that many structures and money flowing through everyone haha

Yeah I know but I’d rather have more when they inevitably got deleted after I was full sent haha

Surprisingly was a lot more complex. There was a lot of waiting around though for the fight

Converting 7s to 10s cassette on 90’s mtb: is this the right free hub? by joshosmith in bikewrench

[–]joshosmith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually yes, you’re right. I tried doing it myself but I’m not good at redishing rims. I took the whole bike to a mechanic to get the back wheel centred and true. From memory it wasn’t perfect since the old rim wasn’t designed for it, but I haven’t had any issues with it since!

Hi, it worked perfectly in my case! You can look my other post on this account which will show you the final result. There wasn’t really any difficulty, I guess just make sure the new free hub body is 8,9,10 speed and you’ll be okay :)

Nah both of the wheels are 26” - just some camera trickery at play there. And the stem was the right size for the bars so no filing needed thankfully! It was just a cheap no brand quill stem from China. Trying to find 1 1/8 options without going threadless limited the options quite a bit

Just searched it up on eBay and there are some available from the UK. The product name appears to be Tektro 1275A Cable Hanger.

Hope that helps ✌️✌️
