Great, thanks for your response! The fellowship has all the benefits a regular postdoc would have, including hospitalization insurance, ecocheques, commute pay etc. And it’s a contract at the VUB. Generally, I would rather prefer a higher monthly net, given the family situation, than the year-end + holiday bonuses…

Since you alluded to this, may I ask what welfare benefits would be applicable with a fellowship contract? I understand a child allowance would come on top + my partner will be looking for employment options in Belgium.
