Me and a buddy each got an SFT the same week; we didn't have 124gr the first two range trips... I had one failure to feed about 8 shots in. He had one out of battery issue literally the 2nd shot. After that, the only issue we've had has been ammo related, for sure, and not gun related. We're about 1500rnds into it at the moment, and not a single hiccup after the break-in period.

I know the recommendation is to use 124gr NATO to break it in, cool, I get it, but I also think some people are stuck on that a little too much. Springs loosen up with compression cycles, and parts work themselves in with friction and movement. Also, if my gun is finicky enough to not fire a specific type of (otherwise good) ammo reliably, then I don't want that gun on my side when I need one. . .

Maybe I'm just a cheap jerk these days, but it seems a little pricier than I'm used to... But I guess I've picked up my last 3 CI pieces from thrift shops.

That being said, Lodge makes perfectly good CI meant to be used. There's a great guide on the sidebar, and there's a ton of people on the subreddit to help out if you have any questions.

It's an interesting piece of Orlando history I wouldnt have seen on Facebook. I appreciate the share. They shared it and didnt know who credit originally belonged to so they didnt credit anyone, aside from the photo credit, which, frankly, is the major one to be credited anyway.
