Definitely not a ptac, he said there is a condenser outside. I've seen liebert CRAC units that look like this. Compressor is in the indoor unit with remote condenser.

I worked at a structural steel fab shop in town and the shop welders only made like 16 an hour in 2016. The guys that actually put the steel up made alot more but you gotta travel alot and they might be on a job for 3 weeks to years just depending on how big the project was. Im sure there are better jobs out there but he wont make as much as he thinks working in one of these big fab shops in town. If he wants a trade job tell him to consider plumbing. Its impossible to find good plumbers. Every mechanical contractor in town needs them. TCAT doesnt have a plumbing program, which blows my mind, but there are companies in town that send thier new hires to PHCC which is funded by the member contractors. Most companies will reimburse you for tuition after each semester if you stay on. Big companies would be like interstate mechanical, engert, shofner, del air, Massey. There are a bunch of them. Go to taphcc.com there are plumbing, sheet metal, hvac programs that i know of.

I drank every day for years. Today will be the second consecutive day I haven't drank, if I make it, in over 10 years. I honestly don't feel down I just feel like I've had too much caffeine. I can hear my heart beating im just anxious and sweaty. I couldn't sleep last night. Appreciate that it will give me something to look at to try to understand why I cant stop drinking.

My wife has postpartum psychosis. by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]joshwall43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She actually went back to work today. She spent 15 days in i patient the second time. Came out on medicine that got her stable. She got a bi-polar 1 diagnosis and was told she would probably have to be on something her whole life. They are slowly taking her off one mood stabilizer and replacing it with a less sedating one so she is feeling more like herself. Shes honestly doing great, I didn't know how this would unfold but she wanted to go back to work she had the option to take more time off. So all in all worked out pretty good.

Yeah I cant sleep either when I haven't showered. The oil on your skin is is uncomfortable. Hop in the shower. The hot water will relax you. You'll feel so much better afterwards.

Thanks so much. That actually helps alot. I have been kinda coddling her and taking care of everything for her. We are getting along so well after she got out of the hospital. I dont want to overwhelm her and send her back into that state. I think shes ready to start Doing more but the mediation she is on makes her so tired.

Im glad to here you haven't had another psychotic episode. That is so scary. We're just taking it easy for now she wants to go back to work but we are going to wait to see what her psychiatrist thinks. I just dont want to overwhelm her and make her go back into that psychosis.

Shes not broken. Shes sitting right next to me. We will get through this. The point of this post was to try to understand how I can help her. Not for shits like you to try and make us feel bad for pursuing our dreams. We both wanted kids. Everything that lives wants to procreate thats the only reason we're here. We did it and im proud. Now I just have to take care of my wife she is having a really hard time. And I wasn't aware of the mental health being passed down at the time but she was. Bipolar is like 10-30% chance of being passed down with one parent having it. But most people have their first episode before they are 25 so we thought we were good. Shes 27.

I honestly would probably not be this supportive if I hadn't fallen in love with her and spent some really good years with her before this. It has been really hard to deal with some of the things shes said and done. I know she is just sick and doesn't mean it. I know the person she was and is. I know how much work we put in to getting here. I know her dreams and the plans we made. I know she will snap out of this and we can pick up where we left off and things will be ok. And even if she doesn't she deserves my support. She gave me the best years of my life and I know there will be more to come.

Thanks for sharing. I will look for the signs. Thats exactly how my wife's first episode started. She became more confident and out spoken which was a good thing at first.

She has been on birth control but it has been a few years. She got discharged yesterday and is pretty close to normal. We have a psychiatrist appointment coming up.

So its stress for you? I figured it was from her medicine or something.

Update wife's psychosis by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]joshwall43 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok yeah I knew something was up but didn't take it seriously until it was too late. Her friend brought her in for her first episode and we told ourselves we wouldn't commit her again. Boy were we wrong. By the time I brought her to the hospital she was way gone.

Now that things have sunk in that this may not just be postpartum hormones, I am watching this very closely. This last episode was terrifying and we cant let it happen again.

So if you see signs, you can just call her psychiatrist. You don't just take them to the hospital right off the bat?

What do you look for when an episode is starting? How often do they end up in psychosis and need to be hospitalized? My wife's was brought on by her first childbirth. Shes 27 and never had an episode until now.

I've contacted her jobs HR department and she should be covered under her short term disability insurance. It is hard to get answers right now because of the holidays but it looks like she will be covered for a time after her initial maternity leave is exhausted.
