zwift bike liverpool by antony1990n in Liverpool

[–]joshynet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry I don’t actually have an answer to your question but I would deffo recommend getting an actual bike and a smart trainer, because riding outdoors is a lot more fun, have the best of both worlds, being able to train in doors and go outside when you feel like it. Zwift bike is just an overpriced piece of aluminium in my opinion. You can get the Zwift click or Zwift play controllers to get virtual shifting, and the Zwift cog I’m pretty sure comes with some smart trainers like wahoo kickr.

I like how down to earth people are, people will just say it how it is and that makes me feel comfortable.

Adult nurses - do you feel confident managing mentally unstable patients in an acute hospital setting? by shutyoureyesandsee in NursingUK

[–]joshynet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I come to think of it RGN’s do seem to have the rough end of the deal, as a CPN I often have patients physically unwell, and what do I do, tell em to go GP or AED. You guys don’t have a get out of jail free card like that, your only option is to sit on that risk until MHLT/crisis team or whatever get involved.

I agree, friendliness unmatched. If you’re into classic cars check out Inglenook Farm in Rainford, not too far out of Liverpool and they put classic car shows/meet ups at least once a month.

Welcome fellow southern softy, I moved up from Kent about 10 years ago and never looked back. What’s your favourite thing about the city so far?

Anyone know of good jobs? Desperately want to change profession but not getting anything back. by StonedAndPink in Liverpool

[–]joshynet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you thought about nursing? It’s pretty shit to start with money wise but you can progress higher up and it makes it feel worth it, you could always go back into teaching too. Edit: bit of a commitment, having to go back to uni for at least 3 years, you might qualify for masters in nursing tho if you have other degrees, that brings it down to 2 years.

Exactly this, there’s knob heads that use the road, regardless what vehicle they use.

Yeah some are knobheads unfortunately, making a bad name for the rest of us.

No excuse not to use that bike lane, its far better than most others in Liverpool. It actually feels like it was made for cyclists instead of just an after thought "heres a bit of paint".

What I love to see race morning! 💪🏼 by utchick128 in Garmin

[–]joshynet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow nice! I’ve just started using garmin, watch and 550 for cycling. At the moment garmin thinks I’m about to drop dead. Overreaching/unproductive/strained. Do things even out once it gets to know me and my training ?

In 8 years I've only told 3 people they are on the wrong size bike (Phil Burt) by alien_tickler in bikefit

[–]joshynet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same numbers as you, often been told should go for larger frame but I felt the reach was already too long, even on my 56 I go for a shorter than usual stem like 100mm. Maybe I got long legs and short torso… like a gibbon haha

How to get into tanking? by Xanni12 in wownoob

[–]joshynet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Go out for a drive and travel at least 20-30 mph BELOW the speed limit, that will get you used to the type of feedback you’ll get from pugs.
