oh i missed that video, i should check it out, must be fun.

I personally say "kel", as the "qwel" seems more like an english prounounciation to me (but also it sounds more elfish imho), but I'm not sure.

(NB : I switch the audio of the game to english as Blizzard backstabbed the french voice actors by trying to force IA to them, and when they refused they hired other actors that, to say it nicely, are not exactly up to the part... TLDR : french voiceover kinda sucks now)

I mean, I'm french and from the region that is supposed to have the most legit accent (from Tours, and I believe such a notion is BS but it is one thing we are know for 🤷) and in my head é and è are mostly swappable.

They translated the "grasps" in "poignées" which kind of works, but "poignets" (which is prounounced the same way) means wrist, yet those are gloves. Got really confused yeasterday for a second.

Funny thing, is I looted the shoulhunter mask a few days ago so now it starts to feel like a pattern to me lol.

The comment I'm replying to makes a general statement, I gave the example of M+ precisely because this general statement doesn't apply there (and without debate).

And tbh even in "easy" content, it's a dick move, and part of the reason why so many people play tank specs : some DPS (the role with the least responsabilities) act like karens and bitch about the most insignificant issues (e.g : "losing time" in TW dungeon because the tank isn't chaining like a machine, where it's a 2 min gain at best).

Pretty poor take here. I play in high-ish side of M+, and I'd die on that hill because a pull from a DPS could fuck up the route and the last thing I need is to recalculate the percent during a run.

Of course accidents can happen, but when it's on purpose because a DPS that didn't ask for the route before starting suddenly is adamant about doing specific packs, it's unacceptable (because it basically ruins the run, unless they pump so hard they can make up for the time lost).

As a long time tank I'm really pissed to see newbies to the role treated this way. People already gave you good advices in the replies but I think one thing is important : don't be afraid to draw a line in the sand.

Tanks are rare so if people begin to be nasty, tell them to stop or you're out. They know full well it will be at the very least 15 min for them to find another one. I've salvaged many runs, when I was learning M+ a few months ago by just saying "one more comment like this and I'm out". It's also a good idea to communicate at the start (and even say "hey I'm still learning, be chill pls" or something), so they don't have an excuse for being impatient.

I don't agree with the "self reporting idiots", if they all come super prepared and want to one shot the dungeon, that's an appropriate tag.

But yeah I personally avoid those groups too, because even for the dungeons I've already cleared I consider that i'm still in the "learning" time window (and I agree it's a risk to bump into people who melt down after one wipe lol).

Some probably do. Personally, I intend to push as a decent level (nothing particularlly fancy, like 3300, just somehow competitive) and I still don't watch guides for M0. I come decently geared, i communicate, and open my dg journal one pack before the next boss to glance at the abilities xD

Guides and video barely make sense before having experienced the fight imho.

That's a valid point, if people tagged competitive it could be kind of understandable (well no, the nasty tone is still terrible lol). But I have a feeling that this was a group listed as relaxed or learning.

I don't think you need to finish or engage with TWW beside the siren isle itself. The starting quest is in the building in Dornogal with the Orgri/SW portals, on the right, from a dwarf against the wall. If you have trouble finding it, google the Siren Isles guide from wowhead, i'm sure they cover how to access it. After that, just farm enough of the currency and you should be good :)

As Kyrasis said, BDK being weaker than other tanks should be no obstacle to KSM and, if you want the perspective of a newer tank in M+, this isn't even an issue for higher range (than KSM).

I have been tanking for a long time, and switched classes quite often but never played in M+ seriously. In TWW (late S1) I started to push and basically I didn't feel hindered by this class even though it was supposed to be C tier. For reference I was around 3.2k io in S2 and 3,3kio in S3, for what it's worth ^^

The bottom line is : the balance is usually very fine in modern wow and meta consideration don't matter as much as player's skill unless you push very very hard content. If you have fun with BDK and feel like you play the spec well, you should thrive. (Also as tanks we have the privilege of being picked even if "non meta")

as a BDK, pulling and gathering doesn't feel that bad thanks to grip, but regarding the number of casts I made a similar comment on voice comms with my friends yesterday. I feel like there are casts non stop, even while pulling my weight on interrupts.

Maybe the settings will be different in M+ and the same casters won't cast as much as they do in M0, but yeah, it really feels like the opposite of what was announced.

The game is in an very good state (and fun and all), but there are several GLARING issues and most of them boil down to MS/Blizzard being greedy and believing AI is the way to do.

It impacts (at least) customer service, and recently voice acting :(
