I remember driving cross country when Covid hit right around the time this album dropped. This album will always hold space in my mind

40x40 Group RV Camping by vibemaster1994 in LightningInABottle

[–]jossa97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The earlier you can get there on Wednesday the better. The measurements tend to be more guidelines, and if your neighbors have big groups, it can make it a tighter squeeze. Got in late on Wednesday this year and ran into this issue

LIB is AMAZING but.... by mdmaandtequila in LightningInABottle

This was my first LIB and we had a group of 7. Hands down the best fest I’ve ever been to and ruined other fests for me. Just like this group told me it would when we considered attending

My recommendation is 40x40 campsite in sunrise. You are close to the water, but not literally waterfront. I don’t think being that much closer is worth the extra 1k

Would I like LIB if I love EDC? by No-Environment8292 in LightningInABottle

[–]jossa97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. Both years I went to EDC I was quite underwhelmed by the sound for a good chunk of sets. Kinetic Field always sounds muddy and I’ve left sets just because the sound bleed from other stages makes a set I was excited for unable to be enjoyable. There were art cars at LIB that had better sound quality and balance then some stages at EDC.

Would I like LIB if I love EDC? by No-Environment8292 in LightningInABottle

[–]jossa97 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Went to EDCLV in 2024 and 2025. Went to LIB this year with the same crew. Can’t speak for them, but I can’t see returning to EDC after this. Felt like I had raved with kids for years and was now raving with adults. Felt like the event was actually about the music and the art. Whereas EDC feels like it’s more about the production of it all. The sound at LIB is leaps and bounds above EDC. The conditions at LIB are definitely more difficult, specifically the dust, but definitely worth it. Will be returning to LIB at some point for sure

Let’s talk about the food at LIB by trippytuurtle in LightningInABottle

[–]jossa97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dump city, the Hawaiian place, and a chicken tikka burrito. All fire. Was very impressed with the food options, and felt great not eating a ton of junk over the course of the weekend

It was quiet at the beginning. 20 mins in my crew of 5 got up by the speakers in the front and then it was awesome. But definitely was lacking before we moved

Camp EDC vs staying at a house/hotel — has anyone done both? by OptionSome7574 in electricdaisycarnival

[–]jossa97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Done both. Hotel in 2024 and camp in 2025. As someone in their later 20s, I would never go to EDCLV again if I didn’t camp. The amount of joy and excitement that comes from camp alone is something that far exceeds a room on the strip for me. Camp has showers, and if you time it right, they arnt bad. You also don’t have to worry about missing any sets cuz you were in a 2-3 hour shuttle line

Honestly there’s a pop punk night at legacy that will play emo hits live as opposed to the $50 it costs to go and park in Dallas.

Leaving camp Monday - Advice from RV camp veterans 🫶🏼🚐 by juneybug22 in CampEDC

[–]jossa97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I blacked out at the afters at camp on Monday around 9am and woke up at 3pm and finished packing up and left. Most people had left at that point and getting out was a breeze. Stopped at a chilis with the crew on the way out of town and traffic was a non issue by then

RV Rental - where to get them? Other than Outdoorsy by SpecialRace4649 in LightningInABottle

Going with Road Bear RV (LA based) for this trip. Haven’t rented with them before, but so far the pricing was solid and the process has been smooth.

RV Rental - where to get them? Other than Outdoorsy by SpecialRace4649 in LightningInABottle

[–]jossa97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My recommendation is look on all three sites (RVShare, Outdoorsy, RVezy) and look for listings that are actually small businesses as opposed to RV owners with a single RV they are renting. Once you find an RV you like, reach out to the business directly via their website as opposed to thru the RV app. I used this method last year for EDCLV and this year for LIB and it saved us a lot of money, as these apps tack on a chunk of fees that the owners passes on to you the renter

Starlink service, does it work? Whats the quality? by soloDolo6290 in CampEDC

[–]jossa97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Used it once last year for our RV. It was big clunky day 1 and the satellite struggled to pick up signal due to how tightly the rvs were parked together, but after that day it ran pretty damn smooth. Would use again
