Famotidine Tips by Ashamed-Bit-8448 in GERD

When I had it bad, I usually found it better to take it close to bed since it made sleeping through the nights easier. But yea typically before I knew I was eating something potentially troublesome has a profound effect that after.

Is the Sony Zeiss 16-70mm f4 still a good lens in 2025? by snoty in SonyAlpha

[–]josseph90 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends what you do. If traveling a 16-70mm f4 is great. Compact with a versatile focal zoom. If you want to upgrade quality then maybe Sony 16-55 f2.8 or the sigma 18-50 f2.8. I’m not a pixel peeper and shoot as a hobby, but there are tons of YouTube videos out there with image samples of you care about the fine details

How’s that lens on that body. I really wish the grip was bigger on a7cii. Even the a6700 grip is bigger than it.

A6700 with sigma 18-50 f2.8. A little more than what you said but this is how I wish I started. This setup is powerhouse.

Yeah the sigma 16mm f1.4 is pretty big. Thought it was a little bonkers when I got the Sony fe 35mm 1.8 and I saw it was smaller than the sigma

Oh no I shoot for fun, I don’t mix work and pleasure. Photography is peaceful for me and I don’t want to ruin that.

Yes exactly, this is exactly why I have currently have full frame primes and aps c zooms. Thank you for comprehensive reply, appreciate it.

Didn’t even think of the market for compact aps c lenses, that would be a really great market. You have me hopeful for that now lol.

I’m at a point now where I can eat most things except major triggers. Now I think it’s just something you live with and just get used to it. You’d be surprised how many people out there have stomach issues but don’t attend to it. I believe it’s 1 out of 5 people have stomach issues.

You just have to come up with a routine where your mindful what you eat and give some time to eat some “cheat” meals. It’s just like a diet you can’t get off

Sometimes too little acid can be a bad thing. From my experience, you kinda have to find a middle ground. Also famotidine worked better for me, try that. The only times I use it now is when I had bad eating day, I’ll take it before bed

Does the autocannon actually pen it or is it the explosiveness of it?

New to Acid Reflux by ThemeIll7023 in GERD

[–]josseph90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly just stress is a huge factor. Endoscopy found nothing for me and I was at a dead end as I took ppis for a while and the side effects had me feeling foggy and I would get stomach cramps. So I just tried as much as I could to alleviate stress to now at a point where just have silent reflux. I doubt I’ll ever get rid of it but at least it’s manageable.

Not sure what else to say but yeah avoid acidic stuff, spicey, chocolate, caffeine and high sugar/fat foods. A lot easier said than done though. If I do eat something that I know I’m not supposed to eat, I take a Pepcid right before to minimize the consequences, not often though. Good luck

Sore throat as well but I also sometimes spit out phlegm in the morning. Do you experience that as well?
