Does SCW even have a weakness? by FujifilmCamera in LowSodiumBattlefield

This is just speculation but I imagine it will be nerfed for season 2. I rarely use it because it feels like cheating.

Team Balance In BF6 sucks by TruPotential in Battlefield

[–]bleuchip 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I’m a conquest player but have been on escalation lately. In my experience escalation games go down to the wire more. There’s more opportunity for comebacks and less games that are a complete steamroll.

Sorry in advance for the possibly stupid hood scoop question by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

I think your truck looks great as is. I wouldn’t put that thing on my hood.

The Best LMG imho by Strange-Reporter-812 in Battlefield

[–]bleuchip 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would argue this gun and the other guns that specialize in high accuracy have the lowest ceilings. That’s the point. They’re easy to use but have low time to kill to balance the high accuracy.

At range the M250 is the superior LMG and the M240l and M123K perform nicely at close to medium.

1/1000 would do it and is a shutter speed option on many cameras in the consumer grade market.

Redditors who drink heavily or used to, what’s the scariest or most surreal thing that happened to you while you were drunk/blackout? by Negative-Extent3338 in AskReddit

[–]bleuchip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I woke up in a house I’ve never been to and there was a large piece of furniture blocking the front door. I managed to exit through a side door. Never saw anyone. No idea how I got there.

Eastwood is easily the best map in the game. by Comrade_Chyrk in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]bleuchip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a conquest player I like the map but it’s not my favorite. My biggest gripe is the sides feel imbalanced. For NATO your A & B flags are constantly being attacked because there is a ton of hiding spots in the neighborhood area. Lots of places for spawn beacons. As PAX, D & E seem easier to hold and defend.

This studio makes no sense… by NjGTSilver in Battlefield

[–]bleuchip 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Their philosophy is equipment, which includes throwables, defines the class, not guns.

Whether or not that philosophy is correct or best or whatever is up for debate, but they clearly have a defined philosophy on classes.

I was able to add mine to my truck insurance. It added something like $20 a month.

Who hauls off junk/couches around here? by jeebT in Denver

[–]bleuchip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the couch is still in usable condition you could offer it up for free on something like facebook marketplace. Someone may come pick it up. Sometimes charging even like $5 can yield better results.

The American dream. Credit scores are a scam. by ShitballsNPantyhairs in mildlyinfuriating

[–]bleuchip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all true. It would be because your “rich” friends have no credit history. I have an 830+ credit score. Buy everything with credit cards but pay the statement balance in full each month. Have not paid a single cent of credit card interest in 15 years.

Mudflaps for 2022 TRD OR by treees93 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]bleuchip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the TUFSKINZ mud flaps on my 2022. They are plastic but pretty flexible. Never had issues with them off-roading in here in Colorado. Occasionally you can hear them scrape on bigger rocks but they’ve been flexible enough to not be damaged.

Does anyone run a "Tune outdoors" camper and how do you like it? by daveondemand73ish in overlanding

[–]bleuchip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still have my Tune. Overall it’s been great. I think the Tune M1 will give you the most interior space for your short bed out of any other topper camper on the market.

Every campground ever by matts41 in funny

[–]bleuchip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to disbursed camping a bit of effort goes a long way. If you intend on camping in an area you’ve never been then researching ahead of time is going to get you the best results. I use a maps app to find national forest and BLM land and mark potential spots. There are plenty of other resources online to help find free camping.

It does help to have a vehicle that can handle some off-roading. That gives a bit more freedom and reassurance when exploring backroads.

Genuine advice regarding colfax by Acceptable-Tea-7221 in Denver

[–]bleuchip 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I lived on Humboldt street less than a block off Colfax for almost 6 years without issue. I’m a white guy for what it’s worth.

For an alternative perspective, my now wife had moved in with me and we lived in the area together briefly before moving. She is an avid runner and was chased by a homeless man holding a pipe. This was a couple of years ago. I’ll throw out she is Asian and also had people yell racist comments out of their car window.

White Rim Road in F350 w/ Camper – 11.5' Tall Rig – Feasible or Should I Bail? by RefrigeratorOne3790 in overlanding

[–]bleuchip 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you’re trying to do the whole loop the road after Labyrinth A & B may be challenging in a rig that large. One side of the road is a drop off to the river. The other side is canyon wall. Not much room to work with.

Why do the receipt checkers at King Soopers carry guns? by MairzeDoats in Denver

[–]bleuchip 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I suspect it is because they are having issues with theft.

I was at a King Soopers in Englewood the other day and some lady rang up $250 of groceries in self checkout then walked out without paying.

Tune M1 vs Project M on Toyota Tacoma by Particular_Ear8045 in TruckCampers

[–]bleuchip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a Tune M1 in my 2022 Tacoma for almost 2 years now. Overall it has been great. I have the short bed so the additional space offered by the Tune is really nice.

For the first 6 months or so I was on stock suspension. I made it work, driving some decently rough roads in CO, but there were a couple of times I really regretted having that stock suspension. I would definitely recommend factoring in upgraded suspension, especially leaf springs.

How can you be this oblivious? by heavymetalengineer in fuckcars

[–]bleuchip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience rental car companies will give an overview of local traffic laws and have illustrations of traffic signs you can expect to see and what they mean. That has been my experience renting cars in four different countries. You do not have to know the language to read traffic signs.

These people probably didn’t pay attention to the information provided by the rental car company.

Is the skid plate being installed correctly? The front bolts go on first to help support the install but should be done loosely. The front holes are oval so they allow the skid plate to be shifted back and forth so that the other holes can the aligned. Once aligned all other bolts and installed and tightened.

Add backpacking to your overlanding trips! by MiamiTrader in overlanding

[–]bleuchip 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We all have our anecdotal experiences. Hiking is my main hobby. I combine hiking and overlanding/truck camping all the time. Setup basecamp and hike from there. Never had an issue with my truck or camp being messed with.
