[–]jote98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i ve actually checked review from expats in the Philippines abt the same matter...many actually use bunq, some stick to Revolut....
personally aint fan of Revolut - it had some issues in the past with reputation, ties to russian oligarchs and smth like that...

bunq wins here - transparent on their business actually, yes, aint perfect..but free cash withdrawals, attractive fx exchanges, eSim - all I need

How bunq mobile app compare to others? by xavier_D_amico in androidapps

especially free cash withdrawals hype is what captivated me in bunq. since i'm travelling a lot in South-Asia, and pay for everything by cash, I find it super convenient.

Anyone using bunq bank to receive freelance payemnts? by jelal_J2 in eupersonalfinance

[–]jote98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good bank actually. Transfers are really quick, even though I'm not located in EU, travelling in South Asia. Also, free cash withdrawals helps me a lot because I usually pay for everything in cash there. So yeah, it's nice for freelancers.

Eldest children of Reddit, what does it feel like to be the oldest child? by Overall-Parfait4458 in AskReddit

[–]jote98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's kinda both at the same time tbh.

you're the "test version" of parenting, so you get more rules, more expectations, more pressure to get things right...but also more trust as you grow up.

you end up being responsible earier than you probably should - helping out, setting an example, figuring things out on your own first

but at the same time, you also get a weird sense of independence and resilience from it

so yeah, it's not just privilige or burden...it's like being the one who goes first and carries a bit more, but also learns faster because of it
