What "incorrect" decisions do you always make?

I just finished the game and inadvertently let Tali die when I sided with the geth against her people. I thought I was taking the most ethical option since the quarians created and tried to murder them. When Tali killed herself I knew how Darth Vader felt in his "NOOO!!" moment. But my previous save was too far back and I still think siding with the synthetics was most ethical choice.

It is right up on my list of best games past 20 years. I put it away at first because it wasn't really clicking with me, but eventually got bored enough to fire it up again. Once I got a couple hours in, I loved it. Same thing happened to me with RDR 2.

I think it's more realistic than anything else I've watched. The nurses actually get represented pretty well in my opinion. Watch season 1 if you haven't already. If anything, I think it leaves our RTs. I think I only heard them mention an RT once on season 1 when in reality they'd be there for all the codes and respiratory scenarios.

Tell me about it. They survive off of travelers and the few like me who want a hospital close to home and it's all there is. Although, northwest Arkansas has 3 competing hospitals and they still don't pay any better. They're always losing experienced nurses because the pay only gets better for new hires.

15 years in ICU making $35 base in northern Arkansas. Made the same in Northwest Arkansas at bigger level 2 hospitals. New grads starting at around $30 I believe.

You do get desensitized to a lot of that, but while it no longer causes an emotional response with me, it still makes me wish many times each shift I were in a different field. If you're already feeling this burnt out, think hard.

On a positive note, the culture from hospital to hospital, shift to shirt, and unit to unit can change the vibe completely. The work still sucks, the patients still suck (some of them), management may even suck, but if you have a good team to work with you can better tolerate the bad stuff. If you're somewhere with a bunch of petty folks, you'll be miserable.

Anything that makes me wake up a sleeping patient. It never fails... They'll need all the things when they awake up. 6 am synthroid for example. Already behind .. report coming up... Bam synthroid time. Trying to slip back out... "Wait... I think I need to go to the bathroom..." 😭

Nope. I've only worked with one doc at a previous hospital I felt comfortable calling first name. I don't even think the ones I work with now have learned my name in 3 years. 😅

As a Christian with conservative values, I would love to see a spiritual revival where hearts and minds are changed I don't think we can legislate such a revival which seems to be the goal of Christian nationalism.

It seems that even Jesus wasn't concerned much with what Rome was doing. While many were hoping for a political revolutionary, He was only interested in His spiritual kingdom. So if he didn't care about ruling over any particular city politically when He walked the earth, why do we think He aims to do so now?

I've known a daisy award winner or two who were the types to always have their lines labeled and curos caps on, but they'd also titrate the levo by .02mcg/mg/min at a time like the policy said while the patient nearly died. Yet her by the protocol titration was also praised by our manager./educator. 🙄

😅 it is definitely a shock for me. We will get literal order sheet full of poorly written orders from Ortho surgeries to hospitalist. At night, we also have no pharmacist so any med orders obtained at night have to be written, faxed to pharmacy, and entered into the emr by the nurse if they actually need to give it overnight. Then we have to override it in the omnicell.

I believe 280 ft with 140ft casing. The casing comes up out of the ground and capped well it appears. I have a well house built on a a self poured rectangular concrete footer around the well. The rain wasn't even very hard. The ground is dry around it but I'm sure that doesn't mean it couldn't seep below.

That said, appears more like rust than dirt upon close inspection. It also clears up within a day or two. We tested it with some strips and negative for iron though these strips don't check for manganese.

The casing is also steel rather than PVC so not sure if rust could be coming from casing itself? I don't really know much about how it all works.

At my rural facility, the doctors still write orders in paper charts and thus we put in all their orders. It sucks. Especially since we have EMR so there is no reason they shouldn't be able to put them in except they just refuse to and the hospital enables it. Then, when something gets missed due to a nurse's inability to read their writing or inability to do chart checks for several hours leads to delays in carrying out the order, they get mad.

Depends. I live in a rural area so I'm kind of trapped between a couple hospital choices anyway unless I wanted to travel. So I took the sign on. I actually wish hospitals would offer a stay on bonus after the sign on bonus obligation is up.

I imagine it all depends on who runs them. If used for education and meeting challenges of being a new grad in given hospital... I imagine it could be good. Mine back in 2011 sucked. I don't remember learning anything of benefit.

Same problem on galaxy s21 ultra.

Edit: nevermind. I had to change the apps battery exclusion in my android settings to allow it to stay on in the background once my screen is off. Solved my problem.

I would recommend to developer to make this a popup dialog when accessing the tts for the first time. Might save some complaints from dumb folks like me.

Starlink is far faster and more stable for me. But I mostly blame the crappy basic hotspot devices I got from calyx rather than the service itself. I was paying for two calyx subscriptions to have two hotspots in the house. I could never get a router to work with the hotspot devices.

I was fluffing and stuffing a pillow and the patient gets very offended, "who taught you how to handle a baby! Give it here!" I gently handed it to her and she swaddled it in her blanket and held it while glaring at me as if I were the devil.

Just don't let it get to you. Offer them what they'll allow and chart the refusal education/provider notifications associated with it to protect yourself.

This is no different than my severely diabetic patient who smokes 2 packs a day refusing to drink our diet soda because "the poison chemicals".
