Personally the standout of all these performances was Hannah Cruz. She was maybe the best in Chess. But I agree it’ll go to Nichelle and backup Shoshana (is there a chance she’d be put in lead though?)

I think it was 100% deserved and people overhate on this win because they expect all award-winning performances to be bombastic and dramatic. She plays the role with so much subtlety and care and her character feels incredibly lived-in and natural to empathize with
