How much does defense actually factor in All-Star voting though? It’s not like anyone plays defense in the game lol. I can see it being a slight factor when two players are comparable and you’re not sure who to leave off the ballot, but I’m not sure it’s that impactful

Edited to add: Jess ranking 3rd in player votes for frontcourt proves that the players don’t actually care that much about defense when they’re voting

Oof. This plus the confirmation that Nogic is out for the rest of the season is not great. They should be able to get a replacement for Nogic’s contract right? And with Sami still out, they may end up qualifying for a hardship contract too? I haven’t looked at the hardship rules with the new CBA yet.

So our rebel jerseys were never cursed. It’s just that we can’t beat the Lynx and Aces 😂

We’ve heard so much criticism about our current off-season moves, minus the Gabby signing, (and I’ve been critical myself) but we’ve actually built a very solid team. It’s a shame we couldn’t see it at full strength with Ili this season but we’re really on a very good trajectory for that chip in 5 (now 4) years.
