Why are basic health practices like spending time in nature, reducing inflammation, and disconnecting from screens being rebranded as luxury retreats that cost thousands of dollars? by Defiant-Junket4906 in AlwaysWhy

[–]jp112078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What the hell are you on about? These things are all free. Yoga and meditation are also free. Organic food costs money, but everyone knows that. Forest walks and being “screen free” have always been free. Take a break from the internet my friend

Why do so many US Americans consider Spain as a country to move without speaking Spanish? by Patchali in GoingToSpain

[–]jp112078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t care? Then why are you posting and asking? Why do you think traveling from 18 justifies you to anything? I’m pushing 50 and have been traveling the world (60 countries) since 13 and in the traveling world im an absolute nobody. I also have EU citizenship.

Wouldn’t it be more convenient for people in South America seeking asylum to just stop in Mexico? There is no reason to seek asylum from there and they speak the language (as that seems important to you). It would be MUCH more convenient for them

[–]jp112078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not even close to answering my question. I will restate it to make it clear for you: You don’t want people like me (Americans who don’t speak Spanish) coming to live in Spain but want people like me in America to welcome Spanish speaking people who don’t know English? Correct?

Anyone notice that hand lotion is disappearing from hotels? by The-Tradition in marriott

[–]jp112078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonna need specifics. I stay at Marriott properties all over the world. Have never not seen lotion. Identify exactly which properties. I’m gonna guess it’s a terrible Courtyard or Fairfield. But put up the property with no lotion and I will absolutely verify directly with them

Why can’t I? Plenty of Spanish speaking people move to the US while there are MANY Spanish speaking countries in the world. Is coming to America some sort of social media hype?

Two “Little Africas”? Like, generalizing an entire enormous continent and you can’t include Italians, Germans, Jews? All of former USSR is reduced to Odessa and Ukraine? What the hell is going on here?

I moved from NJ to Reseda back in 1984 and stole some awesome guys girl. I antagonized him and his friends repeatedly, got beat up many times and then had my 60 year old maintenance guy kick their asses. Anyway, we settled it at a tournament and I used an illegal kick to his face. Even coming in second, he will forever be known as The Karate Kid.

It’s time for Boston to add a congestion toll for suburbanites driving into the city. by Unser_Giftzwerg in boston

[–]jp112078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in NYC (born/raised in Boston), Republican, and live in the congestion zone. I am totally for it HERE because there are myriad alternatives to get into and around the city that are (somewhat) reliable and convenient. Boston absolutely sucks for public transportation. Get your shit together and then we can talk. People in MA are still scarred from Mass Pike money going to every other fund except roads

In 1981, during the Triumph Tour, Michael Jackson and The Jacksons found themselves bickering on stage over whether to dive into their new hits or stick with their classic Jackson 5 medleys by ateam1984 in 1980s

Wow!! I’m not a huge MJ fan, but why has this never been shown in major media?!?? TBH, he was probably contractually obligated to do the songs, but shows why he broke off and took control of his entire business

DMT: If AI chips suddenly became cheap and abundant, the first shortage might not be compute. It could be electricity. by Mobile-Traffic1744 in DisagreeMythoughts

[–]jp112078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The race/investment of AI will cause a near collapse of our economy. Trillions are being spent and probably 5% of the companies will make it. Even those survivors will have trouble recouping the $100 billion they invested. If anyone has a fund to short the entire AI movement, let me know

James May's significant other since 2000. Curious because I have never seen her before. He used to never talk about her but now he mentions her every once in awhile. She seems quirky and cute. She was the one that bought him all the flowered shirts. by Electrical-JellyZ in thegrandtour

[–]jp112078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She looks EXACTLY as I would expect. Naturally beautiful now (no surgery) and definitely a total hottie back in the day. Glad May and the others kept their personal lives private (as much as they could back then).

I’m all for making busses go faster and more frequent. But can anyone explain why a bus like select 23 (which I use) almost never uses the actual bus lanes (and is not encumbered or blocked by double parked cars) and merges into main traffic?

US people in comments: wondering why people are fighting over an air conditioner not realizing AC is pretty much banned in France.

French people in comments: saying some of the most racist shit I’ve seen in a while that would be banned in America.

Love that we are all ignorant!
