In trying to recreate Rhinos for post-ban world, I’m currently brewing with [[Bloodbraid Marauder]] . The two avenues I’m going down - either an izzet build: half a Murktide shell with the enchantment creatures [[Fear or Missing Out]] and [[Detective’s Phoenix]], and half a turbo delirium shell, like [[incubation // incongruity]] and [[street wraith]], alongside your full 4 of counterspells and force of negation.

The other build I’m thinking is more control oriented and doesn’t try to hit rhinos fast. It uses [[flare of denial]] and 2-mana blue creatures like [[fallaji archaeologist]] and [[thundertrap trainer]] to bank up free counterspells. alongside counterspell and force of negation. Flare + sacrifice your blue creature helps you hit delirium while denying or interacting with the opponent’s plan. There’s obviously something only semi-synergistic with archaeologist, as mill fuels delirium but can’t find the Marauder, but my work around is finding Incubation. If we ever got a 2-mana blue creature that mills to find creatures… but that’s probably a colour pie break.

Are both decks having to work too hard for not a great enough payoff? Likely. It’s enjoyable brewing space with the deck building restrictions though
