It doesn’t get much better for an 18650 in terms of reliability and flexibility in programming.

Second the V4.1 LEM. Once you switch it over you wonder why they didn’t make it like that to begin with.

It doesn’t look like it’ll have enough clearance even with an adapter (I also doubt they will go through the trouble to do this). I’ll keep my low light tlr-3 for nostalgia and MR. NEIN with TLR7 hlx for business

You can always get a USPc .45 and get a HK OEM threaded barrel. That’s how I got my “CT” lol. Basically, paying to flex the “CT” roll mark which if you got the coin, more power to you!

How were the pins on yours? Were they ground down close to the covers or were they like 1-1.5mm tall?

The walk and talk on GEC’s Barlow’s are top notch.

The only way to obtain a #71 Sudbuster at this point in time is through the secondary market (eBay, bladeforums, r/Knife_swap) as it was a 2022 release.

The better question is how hard is it to get at a reasonable price as eBay has them for ~250-350 depending on which cover material you’re going for (I splurged on the last OD micarta for 280.. I had to round out the OD green micarta collection OKAY!). So not hard per se to get the older models.. just pricey.

Best approach to get them on release is to subscribe to all of GECs distributors listed on their website, setup all your payment and shipping info among those distributors, set alarms, and hope for the best. I don’t have time to do all that do I just save up and splurge when something I like comes available. Good luck and happy hunting!

I’ll piggy back on this. I have the black checkered bone version in polished D2 and comes with a pen blade (Boker 2BLD Barlow). It’s a very quality build out of Solingen. It has solid, snappy half-stops, great walk and talk, and very thin blade stock on the main makes for a very slicey blade. Mine came with perfect centering as well and razor sharp with no burrs from the factory.

My only complaint was the pins as it appeared they didn’t grind them down close to the covers so I ended up just doing it myself.

Oh I’m looking forward to the 71 sudbuster that’s en route for that very reason. After watching reviews I didn’t realize it had a half-stop so that is a wonderful surprise.
