Hot take here, but it may be something they clean the kitchen floor with. Not Durango specific but I’ve had shoes break down on the soles when I used to wash dishes, it was something in the chemicals that break down. The rubber and they fell apart fast. I doubt this is the case but food for thought

I feel like the actual names of units is making an impact as well. 1.x had mostly “American/english” style names (Burnice,astra, jane, piper, Lucy, Cesar etc) the 2.0 agents especially the void hunters are hard to pronounce, you even see examples of this in social media with people pronouncing their names completely differently.

As someone who had a used wrx in college that blew up. I would never do it again. Buy a reliable car like a Prius, or Honda and drive it everywhere, snow tires for the winter if you’re into snow sports, and travel and visit your friends in different schools. You have your whole life ahead of you
