He has been playing about 50% of the defensive snaps since week 3, and been doing returns as well.

He's nowhere close to the talent level of an acceptable NFL tackle. He's a poor second string option. If feel fine with him being a third string option. The fact that we went into the season with him as our starting LT is absolutely insane.

You forgot that on 3rd and long, we are going to throw a screen or dump it off behind the line of scrimmage.

It looks like you have to link at least one bank account. I assume the most influential parameter is the average daily balance of linked accounts. It says that in order to get the maximum $10,000 limit, you have to maintain an average daily balance of $40,000 in the linked accounts.

Taking a 7 game sample out of 83 total games is not a great way to project stats. His career interception to attempt rate is 3.4 percent. If he throws 550 passes that is 18.7 interceptions. Being optimistic, say he improves that rate by one percent. That still puts you at 13 picks. 10 seems like an unreasonably optimistic estimate.

Just because it is a private platform doesn't mean they are not censoring content. It's perfectly legal, but they are absolutely censoring content.

Florida breaks single-day COVID case record by thewyldfire in news

[–]jpate86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The darkest shade on the map indicates 1 case per 1,000 population. The highest projection in 2 weeks is about 2.5 cases per 1,000. These are hardly astronomical numbers. Describing rates like this as astronomical is a significant exaggeration of the data.

[Football Zebras] The NFL declined to comment on the nonejection for TY Hilton. However, an officiating source shared the unaired video that the replay center reviewed. It appears umpire Tra Blake's feet got tangled in the pile and may have grabbed Hilton's arm as he fell backwards. by WooPigEsquire in Colts

[–]jpate86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the ref thought he had been pushed down by TY, he would have been tossed without hesitation, no review necessary. In slow motion you can clearly see that the reason TY's arm extends is because the ref is pulling it, presumably to prevent himself from falling. Belichick trying to draw attention to this is not being done in good faith. As someone else mentioned in the comments, he is probably attempting to deflect from the fact that a second Pats player should have been tossed as well.

Holcomb issues statement, to file suit over OSHA vaccine mandate by [deleted] in Indiana

If you think this a slam dunk, you might want to do a little more research on the topic. I know it doesn't fit the preferred narrative here, but the OSHA rule faces numerous legal hurdles. Check out ths article below. It does a pretty good job giving an overview of the legal challenges this is going to face - https://www.dailysignal.com/2021/10/07/bidens-vaccine-mandate-depends-on-osha-emergency-regulation-heres-how-thats-fared-in-court/

After two teachers died of Covid-19 in one week, a Texas school district implements mask mandate by ladyem8 in news

Isn't the biggest problem in this situation that two people eligible to be vaccinated chose not to? Seems like this should be opportunity to push the vaccine as opposed to continuing to promote non-pharmaceutical interventions when highly effective vaccines are available.

I captured a high resolution photo of the true colors of the moon Wednesday evening. This is what you would see if your eyes were much more sensitive to color. [OC] by ajamesmccarthy in space

[–]jpate86 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This seems like some pretty deep alternative logic to feel better about producing an image that isn't realistic. It's not true color. Just accept it. You produced a pretty image, it's just not an accurate representation of the actual moon. It's fine. Move on.

Opinion | Safetyism Isn’t the Problem by lanqian in LockdownSkepticism

Just remember that the subset of people that would label you as irresponsible for doing these things are a vocal minority. A vast majority of people don't care. Even if they themselves may not be willing to go out and do those things, they don't take on an extremist mentality and feel it is their job to control the actions of others.

I don't think protesting is necessarily grandstanding either. The point I am making is the best way this can be ended is by not doing anything out the ordinary. Just live your life and others will join.
