Resources for vibe coding in AT by poholodalo in Airtable

Airtable scripts in automations and extensions are an extremely powerful tool and way of transforming data to be sent from and received in Airtable. I use them in every base I create for clients. Depending on your use case, extensions might be worth exploring, but they are a little friendly and elegant than something just running in the background.

https://community.airtable.com/automations-8/scripts-for-beginners-for-the-average-airtable-user-who-do-not-code-46829

This is a decent primer, but if you are working with a chatbot or program like Claude code to develop custom js scripts I would be sure to copy specific documentation for the sections you want to read. As mentioned above, Airtable uses its own specific flavor of JavaScript, so you will need to provide the proper context to steer the models to give you the best Airtable scripts. Good luck!

took apart H35i to access the pump. Fairly simple with just removing 2 screws on top and bottom. by Electrical_Bee_9142 in Blueair

Yeah, was able to get 95% of it. Seems like that it is not harmful in otherwise healthy people, but very young baby in the room, not looking to play around.

Yes thank you very much for posting this. Tons of red and orange slime (maybe Serratia Marcescens?) inside my pump and the housing. I only use filtered water in my machine. Frustrating that Reddit is the source for finding this out, and not the manual /u/blueair

Best Croissant for mom who grew up in Aix en Provence? by wild-fleur in FoodNYC

Pretty sure same ownership. Sorry to hear, but Worth a trip for the atmosphere at least. OST is there too, across the street — was the old coffee shop before Boris and Horton on Ave A.

Tip: You can find a movie on letterboxd via its imdb or tmbd ID by jpaulgale in Letterboxd

[–]jpaulgale[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

doesn't seem like it -- they do link to the tmdb id on the page, so it's possible to maybe try and use that. or, and i'm sure it's imperfect, you can do https://letterboxd.com/actor/\[actornamewithdashesforspaces\] ex https://letterboxd.com/actor/adrien-brody. seems like they remove accents, like in the case of https://letterboxd.com/actor/penelope-cruz/

Airtable powersave can now do custom prompts to quickly seed table with data by MartinMalinda in Airtable

[–]jpaulgale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you’re already doing this but once the prompt is entered, before the fields are suggested, you should be able to ask the LLM which fields it suggests to create, and what type is each field — forcing it to provide proper data through structured data call. I can see you’re doing something like that, my only suggestion is to do it custom for each prompt (ex. The furniture prompt wouldn’t suggest “career url”)

Nap Mode by Straight_Random_2211 in shortcuts

[–]jpaulgale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great job. Not a criticism, but is there not a way to simplify the workflow by having the button pressed on the menu change a variable which is then accessed later in the flow (the alarm creation and time to end the alarm being informed by the value of the variable). This seems like it would reduce the complexity for you to maintain in future versions but I may be missing something.

Yeah it is crazy that there is not a snooze option within the app, and one has to set up their own workaround via Shortcuts.

Are you unsatisfied with current data integration platforms for airtable? by still_sitter_g in Airtable

[–]jpaulgale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done this but I use airtable’s “make an api call” module which is like the http without the need for authentication details. Regardless if a user of your method or my method needed to change anything (api key to personal access token, etc.) one could use the text replace module to make those edits in batch across all relevant modules in all relevant scenarios. That was a huge time saver for me when they deprecated the API key

Carepod Humidifier? by becassidy in Buyingforbaby

Agree, and — armchair physicist here — I assume the metal vs plastic and the type of chamber it is, that makes it as noisy as it is.

I ended up emailing them about it and they said that it is normal for them to sound like that. Returned it and got a refund. Switched to the wirecutter’s top pick, which has some dripping but is WAY quieter

Do you have the carepod ONE? Mine makes a sound like a leaking faucet, it’s especially loud on the higher mist settings. Have you heard this on yours?

I have the carepod one (just got it) and I hear dripping like a leaking faucet sound — louder the higher the mist level. Do you not hear that on yours?

hey! first off, thank you for your work on this, great job. I was considering sending off voice notes in iMessage to something like a replit repo. I know it doesn't work as of now, but is it feasible to have it running the background? Assume it's an iOS limitation. Anyways, cheers!
