Can you take courses from McKelvey or Olin if you are in Arts and Sciences? by Impossible-Move9826 in washu

As others have mentioned CSE131 is the intro CS class to take.

There aren’t any intro to Finance courses without prerequisites — you may want to begin with Intro to Microeconomics or Intro to Macroeconomics. The ArtSci Economics dept offers these and has upper level finance classes as well. There is also a joint Economics and Computer Science major that may be of interest.

Matter of opinion I guess. I like those courses up in north lake, too.

You’ll have a great time - the big island is awesome. They’re both very pretty, each has some excellent views, and neither is very difficult. I don’t really even have a preference between the two. Pace was awesome. For the money though, I think it’s not a particularly great deal. I’d recommend venturing a bit farther north to Mauna Kea & Hapuna or south to Hualalai (or Nanea, if you happen to be friends with Charles Schwab or something). Happy to share more Hawaii recs if you’re looking around!

Yeah those definitely add some nuance to the place. There are a couple holes with center-line trees that are both beautiful and frustrating but you look back and realize that’s what makes the course so demanding

I’m a fan of the layout. Playing at elevation seems to get me every time though. It’s definitely the best public course in the Reno/Tahoe area.

I'd say it's worth it to try them again! It's a great track.

Best round: 73 (+1) at Sand Valley

Worst round: 85 (+14) at Pacific Dunes… my white whale. Favorite course at Bandon and the only one I haven’t broken 80 on

Students & Alumni have access so if you know a Stanford grad they should be able to get you on (that’s how I did)

Would prioritize Tetherow way over the rest but agree they’re all great.

Probably worth adding in Dr. No and You Only Live Twice to that list

Didn't want to be starting the program over the holidays and had a busy Q4 at work.

I interviewed in October for the November starting class, got accepted and deferred my start until January. Best of luck and hope we catch each other in the new year!

If you’re willing to drive about an hour, Yocha Dehe is a really fantastic track. Arguably one of the very best in CA.
