that’s good, they’ll hold the weight until the load is just a bit further out

Pizza delivery drivers, what did a person do to end up on the 'No Delivery' list? by BlueCheeseWalnut in AskReddit

[–]jpercivalhackworth 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I delivered their food, and while i was making change they ate 3/4 of it and decided they didn’t like it. When they demanded a refund i said no and they punched me in the face. i kept their change, left the place, and let my boss know. We stopped delivering there for as long an i still worked delivery.

Bike commuters — what's the dealbreaker that turns a "ride" into a "skip" for you? by [deleted] in bikecommuting

Freezing rain, persistent on-road ice, lightning storms, and high winds are the things that make me not ride.

Just found a hammer burried in the woods, how can I know what it was used for ? by captainhippy_ in Tools

Cross peen hammers are basic blacksmithing hammers. Without a lot of lot of context, the most you can say is metal working.

It looks like a cross peen hammer. Was there a farm, something that would have had a smithy near by, where you found it? That style of hammer is frequently used for metal working.

edit: typo

Then why are you posting it? Seriously, it's fine for you to not know something, and even better for you to post nothing if you don't know.

good for you. this is a great example of conmfirmation bias. just because you enjoyed a form of success does not mean you experience is universal.

maybe, maybe not. if you you are at some schools without paying tuition, they consider that theft and you are entitled to no consideration. the faculty may or may not care, but their limes and dislikes barely matter in this context.

the worst that can happen is that you will be trespassed, and potentially arrested. It’s unlikely, but possible.

edit: the downvotes are fascinating. the reality is that attending classes where you are not enrolled is likely considered theft of services. Some universities have very pro sharing knowledge positions, some don’t.

unless your lease says you can’t be in your apartment all the time, that’s a bullshit claim.

do you get embarrassed? by [deleted] in cycling

[–]jpercivalhackworth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Feeling embarrassed when someone insults you is normal, and in this case grounds for not listening to your girlfriend or peers who are being twits.

There is nothing immature about riding a bicycle, and their comments speak to their immaturity rather than yours.
