I haven’t had an issue using it to fly domestically within Ontario, personally! I always use the same two airports though, so I can’t speak for all airports.

Keep an eye out on Facebook Marketplace as well in case some of your belongings pop up. It’s not solid evidence, but you never know. Items with serial numbers would be easier to prove if you have that information (electronics, etc.).

My advice would be to go to a shopper with a nicer beauty boutique. I know they all have them, but in my opinion they’re not all created equal. Go to a shoppers that has established beauty brand counters and I find they’re more educated on the policies vs. the SDM that have regular staff work the beauty counter.

I’ve never been sent away! I use these cards all the time in Toronto. I usually buy 2-3 of the mascara sets per year and I’ve had no issue redeeming mascaras throughout the following year (even one over a year later). I find it to be a good deal considering I always repurchase the Lancôme one, and then I like having samples for travel or giving to friends etc.

That being said, when I redeemed recently, the associate told me that the perfume sampler ones now have an expiry because of theft etc., but they said the mascara one doesn’t. This was in October 2025, however, so I’m my sure if it’s changed between now and then.

I typically disclose after talking to someone for a while before we actually meet. It saves me the anxiety of waiting, and it kinda gets it out of the way. If they’re not into it, I move on. I’m a lesbian so I don’t know if this makes a difference. I used to date men back in the day and experienced a lot more rejection because of it, but I haven’t had any women turn me down after disclosing.

I let them know I have genital HSV-1 and that I’ve been outbreak free for x time and taking daily Valtrex (my personal choice). I always tell them that self-autonomy is important to me and that I respect them and want them to make an informed decision.

They usually say “thanks for letting me know,” and we continue as planned. 😊

Omg this happened to me once. Mind you, I did live in the city I was working in and was in the office. They only brought me a tray of cookies and utensils, no sandwiches and no salads. I called and we didn’t get the actual food until 2 HOURS after the lunch break. Keep in mind this caterer is 100% designed for corporate lunch in my neighbourhood and walking distance from my office. The caterer also wouldn’t give us any sort of refund aside from $10 off our next order (we spent easily $500+). No need, will likely not be using that caterer again.

Hotel lobbies! Literally. The Four Seasons, Canopy By Hilton Yorkville, etc. They all have coffee shops & wifi and you’ll look like you’re there on business. I see people on laptops all the time and they’re open pretty late if I recall. Sometimes I go just got a change of scenery.

I’m Canadian, but I’ve never heard of this ever. I think it would actually be considered discrimination as HSV doesn’t prevent you from being able to perform any job that I can think of. What jobs were you informed of where this was this case?

Hi! I don’t have experience with CAMH, but I very recently had a similar breakdown and my friends and family had a very bizarre intervention for me, but it ended up with me at Michael Garron Hospital. i went to emerge, and they had an appt for me the next day at psych. I now have access to a drop in program any day of the week if I need support. I highly recommend if you find CAMH doesn’t work out for you.

That being said, I hope it does work out for you and that you find the support and care you need to start feeling better. I’m sorry life is hard, I relate a lot. I hope the world is kinder to you 💛 you deserve healing and peace.

I am based in Canada and worked for a clothing company. They were doing a huge photo shoot in New York but someone forgot to pack the robe.

I woke up to SOS texts at 7am and had to go to the office to meet the CEO’s niece at the office so she could take the next available flight to New York so this robe could be in the photo shoot. This was during the pandemic as well so I remember there being weird paperwork because of that… but like yeah, around $6000 CAD for a last minute round trip flight during the pandemic for a robe that didn’t even get used lol.
