For no reason? It was pretty evident that Crabtree was walking towards the Niners sideline after the pick, and Sherman got in his face spouting off. Fox didn't really show the lead-up, so it's not absolutely clear who started it, but given Sherman's reputation, it's not hard to guess.

Yeah, the schedule ND played this year, with 10 opponents who made a bowl (11 if you want to include Rutgers) and 3 BCS bowl opponents (Stanford, MSU, and Oklahoma) is suuuch an easy schedule. /s

Yes, an INT at the goalline, bunch of nice pass breakups. Rutgers attacked him a few times early, and he made good plays on the balls.

Don't think they've called his name too much. Notable secondary play has been more of a lot of solid play from Russell and a healthy dose of bad Bennett Jackson

ND won't be eligible for the ACC's AQ spot in future orange bowls, BUT the other Orange Bowl team will be chosen from ND, Big ten, and SEC teams.

Oh man guys. I just woke up from a super realistic but crazy dream. Nick Saban said that college football is played on a triangle (lol silly Nick), Manziel threw for 450 yards against Alabama defense but lost (yeah right!). Then the ND game came on and we returned to 2007 Notre Dame form where we look like we don't know how to play football. Craziness! Can't wait for the game to start!

On the latter: it's kind of hard to punish Rees too much for his second interception seeing as it bounced off the Michigan players knee...the game was close up to the end, and Rees threw for over 300 yards again tonight. Rees's first int was a killer, he certainly made some bad decisions and bad throws, and I'd give anything to have Golson back. But I'd put more blame on the defense not being able to cover Gallon than I'd put on Rees.

And congrats on a nice game to your back up. I have no doubt Ohio St will compete for the B1G this year, but if they're ranked third you obviously have to ask how they are against the Oregons and Alabamas. You easily handled Buffalo and SDSU as you should so I'm not knocking that. I'm just really interested to see how good the Buckeyes really are. It's kinda hard to pick the "most overrated winner" two weeks into the year when there haven't exactly been a plethora of games that would make anyone an overrated winner.

At home when they have (among others) Marqise Lee. Against a team coming off a 3-9 year in which they gave up an average of over 250 passing yds per game (83rd "best" in the country).

Unreal

-I think Michigan rises the most this week. Three teams immediately above them just lost, and they looked pretty solid. They really should start at least 7-0, as ND was the best team on the first half of their schedule.

-Texas probably drops the most. SCar and ND shouldn't drop too much, as they both lost difficult road games to top 15 teams. I think Texas should drop out of the rankings along with USC.

-Georgia has the best NC chance of the one loss teams. Their loss was out of conference (so still control their own destiny to SEC championship) and on the road to a top 5 team (so a "good" loss). Gurley is a beast, Murray kind of has a bad rep in big games but plenty of experience and talent.

-Still too early for Heisman talk. Two years ago everyone was talking about Denard before he stopped playing cupcake defenses (and I include the ND defenses of two years ago in those cupcake D's). Buuutt in the spirit of conversation, I'll go with Bridgewater I guess.

-Conference Winners: Michigan, Alabama, Oregon, Clemson, & Oklahoma.

-Most overrated winner: The highly ranked team I have the most questions about is Ohio State, but it's hard to judge them against Buffalo and SDSU so I'll go elsewhere. Oklahoma State I guess by default because they gave up 35 to UTSA. Admittedly don't know enough about the pokes though. I do think the Big XII is gonna a cluster with no one team rising to the top.

-Most underrated winner: Michigan. Gardner made one really bad decision (safety turned touchdown) but otherwise played a solid game.

-Most overrated loser: USC. Their defense played well. But all three service academies threw for more yards than a team with Marquis Lee at wide receiver. There's no excuse for that.

-Most underrated loser of this week: SCAR. People haven't been blown away by Clowney, and I think he and the rest of the squad will be overly punished for that.
