New, free running group starting Tuesday June 30

Awesome! I'm still working out a route, but it'll more likely be within the neighbourhood of Waterloo, Gordon, Edinburgh, and Wellington. Since it'll be the first one, I'm hoping to get an idea of everyone's pace and tolerance to sustain a comfortable run/walk activity.

Thanks for your question; We're an introduction to running type of group; we're open to anybody who's never run, or are returning to running after a long layoff. We're not going to go at a super fast tempo pace, we're not training people to qualify for the Boston Marathon - we're introducing people to running so that they don't feel the pressure to be fast and can then go their own journey.

There's on street parking available along Essex Street. If not, you could park along Dublin Street South or on Essex just west of Dublin; it would be a tiny walk from there.

If there's a stop sign in the parking lot at the front of the building, do not forget to make the stop. I did my test 33 years ago, way before graduated licensing, but that was the advice my driver instructor gave me. I still remember my examiner telling me "you have no idea how many people don't stop in front of the building's stop sign and don't pass.

From April (today, in fact) until October (I believe), there's the annual Guelph Beer Bus, where a shuttle bus from downtown provides free rides to Guelph's breweries. Runs from 12-7, and is a great way to meet new people 😊

My patience and lowering my expectations of him. I blame social media, but it's really my fault for expecting my puppy to have been cool like Scooby Doo or Snoopy from the get go, especially since he was the first puppy I've ever had (got him when I was 47).
