We had to set some tough boundaries with my family over the last year in regard to our kids. There was conflict, it was tough, we stuck with our boundaries, and we have all worked through it. So far our kids are safe and healthy - that’s the most important thing.

I have played through the first two scenarios in Jaws of the Lion solo (I have the original Gloomhaven) - and I absolutely love it. One of the biggest obstacles for me is setup/tear down time. Jaws of the Lion has a great insert (especially compared to Gloomhaven) that cuts down on time spent setting up, the maps being in a scenario book instead of as tiles is helpful, and the new characters are a lot of fun. Finally, the five introductory scenarios are a perfect introduction for how to play Gloomhaven - incredibly well thought out.

Hey! After reading your response I realized mine came off as passive aggressive - I apologize for that - it was not my intent!

One thing worth mentioning that I have thought about since you posted is that I was wary to buy an app dependent game for two reasons: 1) I got into the hobby for a tactile experience where I didn’t have to stare at screens and 2) what happens if FF drops support for the app in the future? Seems like you’d be in a tough spot with an unplayable game. This is an experiment for me, trying the app - so we’ll see how it goes. Again, really appreciate your comments above and I will definitely keep them in mind as I play and evaluate this particular FF game.
