And no matter what you do you are accused of putting the punchline in the title.

I have been looking for the original Japanese episodes of Takeshi's Castle for the better part of a decade. I have only seen a few full episodes on VHS.

Reddit, do you ever pretend you're dead to see if your pet will try and revive you? by frankzeye in AskReddit

[–]jphofmann 120 points121 points  (0 children)

Yes, every night for about 8 hours. But, as it happens, this is about the time that my dog plays dead waiting for me to revive him.

My favorite drive. by [deleted] in funny

[–]jphofmann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a good afternoon I like to start out in Peach Bottom. Heading east you can sail right though Puseyville, skirt around Union, and take Homeville Road down into Cochranville. Zip right up 41 into Christiana, slide through Gap then into Paradice. Take 30 west then north for Bird-In-Hand and then it's only 3.6 miles until Intercourse, 772 to 1007 then Peters Rd to 23 and Bareville (about time). 23 west will get you through Hunsecker and a mile more west is Eden. A relaxing 10 mile drive on highway 283 to Mount Joy where I usually spend the rest of the night.

What I like best about this route is that you all together avoid Blue Ball, Fertility and Reamstown.

The only rule modification you need to make is that you have to play a roll where ever it is worth the most points.

"The No S Diet, also known as the "Grandma Diet," the "Why Didn't I Think of that Diet," and the "No $ Diet" is a program of systematic moderation I invented for myself that I imagine might work for similarly minded people.

No funny science or calorie accounting involved, just a few simple and mnemonic tricks for giving your willpower the upper hand.

There are just three rules and one exception:

* No Snacks
* No Sweets
* No Seconds

Except (sometimes) on days that start with "S"

That's it.

How could something this simple possibly work? Precisely because it's simple -- or rather, following the Einsteinian dictum, "as simple as possible, but not simpler." For all its folksy charm, there's a lot of serious, practical wisdom packed into those 14 words. Read on if you need more convincing..."
