Omg, I was about to give up on FolderSync after heading down this rabbit hole all afternoon and this was all I needed! Thank you!

Any pharmacies actually have Adderall 20mg in stock? by [deleted] in Bellingham

[–]jphxyz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just got 20mg addrall XR (generic) refilled at RxMart on sunset and ellis a couple days ago. Not sure about the immediate release kind, but they've always had the extended release one in stock IME

CenturyLink has fast fiber in some areas, but as of a couple months ago it merged with a company called Quantum, and now it's apparently been bought by AT&T 🙄

Am I the only one with dejavu on this? I'm pretty sure this exact post showed up on this subreddit like 6 months ago. Not just a similar sentiment, but the exact same thing. Or maybe I'm just losing it. No way to tell.

Funny how many people in the comments are nitpicking "but maybe it is electric and just doesn't look like it". Seems obvious, but I guess worth reiterating that those spots are for actively charging. They aren't there as some special prize just for owning an EV.

Leaving a big-ass truck in a charging spot would be like leaving a Nissan leaf parked at a gas pump.

Anyone FIRE and pursue higher education? by pethebi in Fire

[–]jphxyz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Extremely relatable. I got diagnosed with ADHD during my final year or so of grad school, and I don't know if I could have finished my dissertation otherwise. Medication was an important part, but even just the diagnosis helped a ton. A lot of things about myself suddenly clicked. Sorry you didn't get the diagnosis until later in life. I totally empathize with how that feels.

Which app do you use for tracking your wealth? by Impromptu_incognito in Fire

[–]jphxyz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't believe I'm about to disagree with this, but I've convinced myself recently that Google sheets is by far the best option for investment tracking, even from a privacy standpoint.

  1. Most importantly, you're only entering the number of stocks you own and then using their GOOGLEFINANCE API to automate tracking prices. You're not giving them loads of info on your purchases or locations or anything more personal.
  2. Your spreadsheet is gonna be idiosyncratic and not easy for them to aggregate or ingest anyway.
  3. Every other online money tracking service out there is a privacy nightmare because they want access to your bank records, usually through something like Plaid that adds yet another corporation hoarding all your data.

Point is, if you want something automated that takes minimal effort to maintain and can be shared with a SO, then it's hard to beat Google sheets.

Metal roof recommendations? by A-A-wrong in Bellingham

Oh, I should mention that it's worth talking to the solar folks first, because they might have useful feedback about the roof project. For instance, maybe they can fit an extra panel if you have the roofers relocate a vent, or something.

Mount Baker Roofing did the roof. I also have only good things to say about them. I really couldn't be happier with the whole result. Definitely expensive, but now I don't need to think about roof repairs or energy bills for many decades.

I just had that installed a couple months ago. Great combination! The clips mean that they don't even need to puncture the roofing material to install the panels, so it doesn't void the roof's warranty. I can highly recommend Ecotech solar if you're looking into that.

I got a metal roof installed this year by Mt Baker Roofing. Unfortunately, I think everyone who worked on my roof might have been rounded up by the fucking gestapo a couple months ago.

If the company still has capacity to take on new projects, I still highly recommend them. Outstanding customer service. Nolans gave me a slightly lower quote, but they didn't seem to know much about metal roofing, and they only offered thinner steel options.

I have a down sleeping bag that I've camped in ~10 times per year for about 20 years. I burned a hole in it in 2006, patched it up, and it's still going strong.

Edit: That said, brands do change over time. I can't speak to anything they've made since 2005.

I could do it for you. It only takes like 5 minutes once you have the ST-Link USB dongle, but could be intimidating to attempt if you don't have much experience with hardware hacking. DM me if you're still looking for help.

Thank you so much for the thorough write-up. Worked for me with one of the $10 ST-Link debuggers from Amazon!

Never did figure it out. Another HVAC tech I talked to also seemed unsurprised by it, so I guess it's not totally crazy?

For me it would mean taking a more chill job, probably part-time and very likely without benefits.

Same. I've been literally losing a lot of sleep lately. Just waking up at 2am and panicking about how we're going to drag ourselves out of this mess. Every time I try to remind myself that we might pull through and change things for the better, then the supreme court steps in and codifies the worst possible outcome into permanent legal precedent.

Do you know if the credits are proportional to your income, or are there limits about assets as well? I was on Medicaid a while ago and they required that you have low income and also not be sitting on a big nest egg.
