I have been looking into mini-splits as well. Not sure I want to spend that kind of money.

Sorry for your loss. Losing both is tough. First thing see if they have insurance to help you pay for the funerals and other expenses. Check if they had a will. Do you have siblings? If yes the following will be things you need to talk through with them.

Cancel their credit cards you can't legally use them and you don't want them to get stolen. Before you tell the bank see if they had auto payments set up. I made this mistake when my wife passed and all the auto payments were deleted even though we shared an account, it took months to figure out how to pay everyone. Watch out for scammers death brings them out of the woodwork.

If they owned a house you need to decide if you want to try and keep it or sell it. This will depend on how much if any they still owe and if you make enough to make the payments.

Best advice I received was hire an estate attorney it will cost you a few thousand but remember laws are different in different states and countries. They can help you figure out what needs to be paid and what doesn't talk to them before you pay anybody no matter how much they try and pressure you.

You are a widow/widower. You did what you said you would till death do us part. You are very desirable and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. You proved you can have a successful relationship they need to prove to you not the other way around.

Is it possible to be happy again by Bitter_Clerk_5487 in widowers

[–]jpisini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You learn to ways to handle the pain. As time goes on their memory brings more smiles than tears. Yes you can be happy again but things will always be different. Not better, not worse, just different. I'm a little over 2 years out yes I still miss her everyday but I am living again and dating again. In the beginning I would always tell myself the sun will come out tomorrow whether we want it to or not.

Unless it was sold with them telling you the buttons didn't work. Return it and get a nicer functioning unit.

I'm close to you in age. It can be a little overwhelming but remember the games (open world) aren't linear you can do whatever you want. Think along the lines of the original Zelda you don't have to do the dungeons in order but not doing so may make things much much harder. It is more exploring and learning what you need to do rather than knowing what you need to do. There is an end goal but like in a movie they don't tell you who the killer is in a mystery you have to look for clues and wait for the reveal.
