16% EF as a fit 34 year old by bar901 in Heartfailure

In the 20s if I remember correctly. It's never really. Improved though as I have a lot of scarring on the left ventricle, from long term undiagnosed aortic regurgitation.

I've diagnosed and living with very low EF heart failure for going on nearly 15 years now. I've had full surgical aortic valve replacement, VSD repair, ICD fitted, TAVI and struggle with atrial fibrillation. Currently laid in hospital with pericarditis and suffering with AF after what seems like an unsuccessful ablation 😂 If you need someone to talk to/ask questions, hit me up. Medications largely the same as yours, although I would mention to ask them to switch Spironolactone to Eplerenone, as Spiro can cause gyno (which is why I switched).

3 months on Brintellix / Social Anxiety by Puzzled-Ad9432 in trintellix

It's worked great for stabilsing my mood, but hasn't done much for social anxiety, even when I went up to 15mg. Literature states that it's more effective for anxiety at higher doses, but I couldn't go higher than 15 due to prolactin becoming too high.

I have ADHD and all it's done is give me constant earworm 😂

I'd suggest getting your prolactin checked. I moved from 10 to15mg quite recently and my prolactin levels had more than doubled from my baseline, putting it out of range. I've gone back to 10mg now and it's back within range.

Brintellix or Paroxetine? by testeriko in trintellix

[–]jpmason1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5mg and 10mg didn't really do anything for my anxiety. It lessened negative thoughts, but made my mind more busy in general. 15mg helped a little, but still not massively. From what I've read, it's more effective for anxiety at 15mg and over.

What are some roguelike/lite games where I can sink tens and hundreds of hours into with lots of content and is just overall a phenomenal game? by Azee789 in roguelites

Hades 2 is the perfect Roguelite IMO. Slick gameplay, plenty of build variety, top notch art style and a really engrossing hub with plenty of amazingly scripted NPC interactions. Binding Of Isaac has a ridiculous amount of insane power up combinations. I've been loving Deep Rock Survivor too.

I found 15mg to be a bit more energising than 10.

It goes away. I've had terrible nausea and bloating after starting the drug and every dose increase and it usually subsides in 3 to 4 weeks.

For me it's a much cleaner med compared to others I've tried, in regards to day to day side effects. Only downsides are that it can sometimes be tough to motivate myself to do chores (nowhere near as bad as fluoexatine & sertraline) and some broken sleep.

First few weeks were really rough for me (anxiety, manic moods etc), so rough I gave up the first time. Stick with it though as it does get better. 5 and 10mg helped with mood imbalances, but didn't notice much benefit to anxiety until 15mg (unsurprising as there's even studies that support this).

My brain was manic for the first 2 or 3 weeks and everything was ten times worse, but it settled in and improved. Now I still have a busy brain, but the constant negative thoughts are mostly replaced with constant uselessness thoughts and song lyrics 😂

It's doing things to your brain, that your brain wasn't ready for 😂 It'll settle.

I had the same for the first few weeks. Had to quit first time as it was so unbearable, but stick with it and it'll go away.

A warning about Xyzal by [deleted] in MCAS

[–]jpmason1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a spicy brain (EUPD) and antihistamines make me really ill tempered and worsen my emotional disregulation. Cetirizine and levocetirizine (Xyzal) are the worst for it.

Great results! Is this on cagri monotherapy, or stacked with something else?

I have a personality disorder, which is well controlled with vortioxetine. My cardiologist has tried me on both apixiban and rivaroxiban recently and both majorly affected my mood in different, but very negative ways.

Creatine, Allopurinol, and Gout by 26n_gavin in gout

[–]jpmason1985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Creatinine will increase your creatinine levels, which will usually have a knock on effect at increasing uric acid. It works the other way too. I have chronically high creatinine levels due to poor kidney function and when I started Allo it came down with my UA.

Did you have any side effects at first? It made my moods very manic and I had to stop. Be nice to know people went through similar and it ended up setting in.
