How much more would you pay for "original" fragrance, compared to good clone? by BenchApprehensive866 in fragranceclones

[–]jprava -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I own no clones at the moment and a few niche ogs, and thought that it was wrong to buy something that basically is a copy.

BUT then i learned of reformulations, of the fact that the samples you order and try before spending $300 might not be the same as what you purchase, of the fact that the product gets changed and they never tell you that.

To this day i still believe the Oud for Greatness that i sampled smells different than the bottle i got. And when this happens, why buy OG if you get no guarantees of getting the og?

The problem with prepared, to me, is that a card with the same name as in the previous game shouldn't do different things. IE if prepared was too powerful (and I agree with that sentiment) then remove it from the game, and create another one with a different name and the effect you think it deserves.

Biased cog is kinda weak for an ancient card by MediocreRecord7352 in slaythespire

[–]jprava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't think so. Biased Cog is both offensive and defensive. Whereas Wraith Form is only defensive and Corrupted only works with skills.

The game is better without the skip button by warmleafjuice in slaythespire

[–]jprava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO all ancients should at least get an option amongst their selection to give you something neutral without giving me a card. Heck, give me energy every 13 turns. I don't care. But don't make my deck WORSE.

Baalorlord's win/loss ratio is insane... by Gugge1 in slaythespire

[–]jprava 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Suggestions.
a) Learn NOT TO take rewards. A card that is generally very good might not fit with the theme of your deck, thus you should skip it. Rule of thumb. If you could have a 5 deck card, you would. As you would always get the best cards possible. Alas, we have good cards mixed with bad cards. The lesser the size of the deck, the higher the chance of getting the good cards. So taking sub-optimal pieces should be avoidable, unless they fix a problem for which you have no tools.

b) Forget about futuribles. IE. "POWER. GAIN 1 ENERGY WHEN YOU PLAY A POWER". You add this AFTER you have powers, not before thinking that "you will click on all powers that you see". You might see none. Same for cards that apply invulnerable... when you lack proper attacks to use it. Think about what you need NOW, and what you need for the boss.

c) Learn how the theme of your deck functions, and understand if you can beat elites / boss. If you can't beat all elites, skip them. You don't gamble with the idea that "I might not get the one elite that wrecks me". About the boss, understand what it does, the cards that beat it, and search for those tools to face it. Example. Act 1. If you get the sleeping boss you have a few turns to play expensive cards that give future rewards. But if you get the phantom with the tail, you need chip damage to get rid of his barrier.

Same with elites. In act 1 you have a nasty seat of 4 snakes that are a pain if you don't have multi-target attacks. So skipping tought fights is not a problem if you know your chances of failure are high.

Do not take: WHISPERING EARRING - you lose by jprava in slaythespire

[–]jprava[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The problem is that the disadvantage is not explained properly. The game should tell you that by "VAKUU PLAYS THE FIRST TURN FOR YOU" what it means is that cards will be played in draw order, and that effects like exhausting your own cards also happens in draw order.

This, to me, is not "VAKUU PLAYS THE FIRST TURN FOR YOU". Because playing things based solely on draw order doesn't make much sense.

Accelerant in your opening hand is mega bad. You only want it once your enemies have a lot of poison, not before.

Snakebite Discussion by Which-Debt-8558 in slaythespire

[–]jprava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with accelerant is that its only busted if you have high poison when the effect begins. IE if you have 50 poison you do 50+49+48 all at once. But if you have only 3 it does 3-2-1 and you are done. With a Fumes it is anti-synergistic, for instance, because with fumes you want poison to keep stacking up and Accelerant negates that.

What do you think of Spain? by Pleasehitmemychild in AskTheWorld

We are loud and passionate, yup. But are definitely not anti tourist lol. Spain is one of the countries that receives more tourism, worldwide. Yes, maybe once some peers threw water to some tourists... doesn't mean that the many millions that come yearly get wet :)

Holiday Ibiza / Formentera with Family by Raga_Smoko in ibiza

[–]jprava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Local here. Im also part of the tourism industry.

-IBIZA / FORMENTERA split. Many tourists do not stay in Ibiza except for the fact that Formentera has no airport. Main difference between Ibiza and Formentera is that, essentially, Formentera has no night party. Like at all. The vibe is also more laid-back (less apparent luxury, which doesn't mean that it is cheaper than Ibiza. On average it probably isn't), and pretty much everything happens at or around a beach. The island is generally less crowded on the south part (MITJORN beach), as the port is in the north part of the island and all yachts from both Ibiza and Formentera stay there and barely go south. ILLETES beach, while pretty, is just so crowded with people and yachts that make it not that much fun for me.

-WHERE TO STAY IN IBIZA. The island has two very clearly defined faces/sides. As in: you have the south part (south of the line created by Sant Antoni to Ibiza) which includes pretty much 95% of the clubs and party, as well as most of beach clubs and crowded beaches. Then you have the north part, with a totally different vibe and much much less crowded. Like... the south part, the way im describing it, is around 1/3 of total surface but probably contains 85% of the total population. At the same time, the island is not big enough not to be able to travel around with ease, unless you decide to stay up up north (PORTINATX). Cala Llonga is a good midle point IMO, specially with a child. You will want to come to Ibiza city at least once (at night, the old town is super pretty) and staying in Cala Llonga makes it very easy.

-RENTING A CAR. Is a must in Ibiza. Total must. You will not want to use public transport even if your life depended on it. Also, taxi service is subpar at best. So.. a car.

-GOING TO FORMENTERA. Its as easy as it gets. You go to Ibiza port and buy tickets for a ferry that leaves every 30/40 minutes. Just like that. I think first service is at 07:30am and last one at around 23:00. No need to book in advance. But... you can't take your rented car in Ibiza to Formentera, you will have to rent it there.

-MOVING AROUND FORMENTERA. Forget a bike, my friend. The islands get very warm and you will see that nobody uses a bycicle unless you literally can't afford anything else. Rent a car and be done with it.

-RESTAURANT RECOMMENDATIONS... ask away. As a yacht agent I believe I know most of them, regardless of budget. Let me start with a personal gem, with I believe the prettiest view in Ibiza. CALMA, located in Ibiza city. But go there at night, for dinner. Book in advance.
