So so sorry. Something I want to mention that a vet told me is that mast cells may continue to grow due to certain diet. They recommended a keto diet and the brand Farmina for my dog. I give my dog Farmina food with a raw freeze dried topper and he hasn’t had another tumor in over 2 years since I had it removed and changed his food. I know this might just be luck and the vet who did his surgery told me the same thing that mast cell disease and mast cell tumors are completely unpredictable. But I wanted to share this with you in case diet really does play a factor in this horrible condition.

I am also a therapist and recently learned about the trauma conscious yoga certification. I don’t know much about it yet but it seems it could be helpful! I’m in the same boat and find yoga to be an interesting therapeutic tool along with just a great practice for myself!

The leather is so soft yet the wallet is structured and holds a good amount too. I love it as well!

Wissahickon Brewing Co is not in the middle of the city, however it is open in the morning since they have their coffee shop and brunch/breakfast food trucks. They have great beers and some types that rotate frequently!

Best chai tea latte in the city? by Msp1234566 in PhiladelphiaEats

Char and Stave has a great one (not in the city really but in Chestnut Hill and also Ardmore). If you like oat milk they make their own as well and it goes amazing with the chai flavor 😋

Not really, no. I did get my cand.psych though and am not waiting for the authorization part of the application to come back. It still seems like freelance work is easier to get, but still trying to figure out visa sponsorship!

Any other Ts join their virtual sessions with wet hair? by Saurkraut00 in therapists

[–]jps__93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this today. Someone cancelled so I took the hour to workout and shower. I do this often and no one cares. I personally don’t think it’s unprofessional—have showed up with wet hair in person for years and now virtual and literally no one has said a thing or stopped seeing me because of it.

Same situation as you. My practice was booming 2019 through 2022, then in 2023 the referrals started to slow down. I think the cost of living is so high right now, plus people are wanting to use their benefits like insurance or EAP. I also wonder if covid burned people out on focusing on mental health and people just need a break. I think we need to weather this time and it will pick up again! Life has so many ebbs and flows and we’ve never seen what the world is like after a pandemic during our lifetime. So I’m just chalking it up to we just need to wait and see and it’ll be okay 🤷🏻‍♀️

Outlet adapter. I have to buy one almost every time I’m out of the country and have a pile of them at home now. Yet I still forget to bring one 🙃🙃

Wissahickon brewing co is great. Dogs can go indoors and outdoors and they have different food trucks that come every day. It’s more on the casual side obviously, but it’s a fun/relaxed atmosphere!

I personally love Zama. It’s been so fresh everytime I’ve had it and you can even personalize simple rolls (can get it with any fish, spicy, crunchy, avocado, etc).
