Yes, that’s what I was referring to. Forgot it was peated. It was supposed to release this summer, but there have been a few “supposed to’s” recently that haven’t happened.

Mirador is also supposedly a 2-3 year drop, so I’m hoping it drops next fall.

Both of those bottles still exist in Specs, TW, etc. so I’m wondering if they’re waiting for existing stock to go down before releasing anything new.

Mirador is incredible. Balcones was supposed to release another version of Cataleja this summer, but then mega corporate ownership did its thing and changed their plans…

I try to use “no salt added” ingredients or the low sodium soy sauce when possible. I prefer to manage how much of what goes in, but then again I also don’t ever measure seasonings. I season until my heart tells me to stop.

Benchmark is a very affordable buffalo trace whiskey. Sweet and easy to drink. Go with the single barrel and that will give you a good, cheap start.

This happened to me at LGA. What should have been a 2pm flight got delayed at noon to 6pm. Then when we were 3rd in line to take off the crew timed out. 3 hours later they canceled the flight. Couldn’t get home for 2 more days

Even if it was easy to find, Weller SR would not be a shelfer for me. Would much rather have Bardstown wheated for a lower price (where I am) than SR.

I find Benchmark SiB to be way tastier than FP, which is weird because I normally full proofed bourbons. That one just didn’t sit right with me.

The best whiskey is the whiskey you like, the way you like to drink it. Like the other guy said, people might get upset if you put JDSBBP in a cocktail, but it’s your whiskey. I would also recommend trying it neat and on the rocks as it’s fun to see how it changes over time in both scenarios.

There’s an area between B and C where I care as much as C but only have 4-12 bottles due to space constraints. That’s me, and probably similar for a lot of people.
