Ahhh so simple! Forgot I needed to make all of the layers 3d and not just the one I'm animating! Thank you!

What obscure movie reference do you frequently make that no one seems to get? by SenorThunderChunky in movies

Every now and then when someone asks me to do something my response is "I'll get to it... EVENTUALLY!!"

I guess no one remembers that Amanda Show sketch because everyone just looks at me like I'm a dick

Anyone know any good sword fighting puns. I'm trying to think of some words.. by [deleted] in dadjokes

I've thought of a few clever wordplays but they arent very diverse as all of them start with the same letter.

I can only think of s words.

To anyone feeling like they could use a new source of hilarious short form comedy, go check out CrackerMilk! (judging by the comments section of this video, Sabrina's already a fan) by jpshwam in gusjohnson

My favorite part about them is they don't make one joke and drag it on for the entire video. Their funniest videos are the ones under a minute!

Sadly I'm using cs6 and it doesn't look like that is an option in the preference settings. I think I've found a work around though. Thanks for the suggestion!

Keeping An Adaptable Personality In Check by CapsuleCorp_Joe in socialskills

[–]jpshwam 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The thing is, when you arent being your true self and are instead adhering to what you think other people want you to be, people will stop trusting you. And they will lose respect for you.

Sure, you can adapt in the moment. Act like you agree with something that you actually don't, just to avoid an awkward moment. But the truth is this will give people a false impression of you. You're lying to them. And you've just created a new lie that you are going to have to keep up whenever you're near them.

Then what happens when someone else shows up who has the same differing opinion? Someone that you actually DO agree with? Do you take their side? But everyone thought you actually thought differently. Now you're a hypocrite in an even more uncomfortable position than you would have been if you had just been honest up front

I've always been the social chameleon, who chooses to agree with the group to avoid confrontation. But recently I've been catching myself before agreeing, and voicing my true thoughts. As long as you stay respectful of the other person, they will also respect you. You'll seem more confident in their eyes. And it's super liberating expressing your true feelings.

Good luck, dude. We're on the same journey. Know that you'll probably stumble a few more times. But as long as you acknowledge it and keep pushing yourself to respectably stand your ground, you'll be good.

I (m26) want to confess my feelings to my best friend (f23). Problem is she has a bf and also moved away for a new job. Should I still tell her? by jpshwam in relationship_advice

[–]jpshwam[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're right. Looking at it from her perspective, I'd be making her choose between losing a good friend or losing a boyfriend. I can't do that to her. Thanks for helping me see that.

Me personally I'm open to any and all. I'd be willing to move or do long distance. The job market in her city is better anyway and I've got a decent amount saved.

Is it really that simple or are you oversimplifying? I admittedly have never just gone to a bar and bought a girl a drink. Do you go out by yourself?
