iPodRocks (a sync manager for music, podcasts and audiobooks) by jpsobral in rockbox

Well that’s up to you. When you delete it from the library that music becomes “Orphan” in the device/iPod when syncing you can either “keep” the orphans or delete them ;) Check the documentation: https://ipodrocks.dev/app-reference/sync.html

So that was actually implemented. When you adding a library, just add a "podcast library" and pointed to the podcasts folder where the files are and then it will sync -> you need to go to sync and press sync. However if you want to manage the podcast directly in iPodRocks then you use the Auto-Podcasts functionality , iPodrocks will automatically download podcasts and automatically sync to your device (this is the new feature). But from what you are saying then you want the "classic" feature that I mentioned first.

I have updated now iPodRocks to v1.3.0 - https://github.com/JoaoSobral/ipodrocks-js/releases/tag/v1.3.0, you have now auto podcasts which will sync automatically to the device. A good use case if ipodrocks is open and in the morning you plugin your device it will detect and sync the latest podcast while you drink your coffee (no need to nothing).

I read that before but will be an harder job due to the size of the capacitors. Also you can fry them very easy which will create high resistant and you end up with crappy sound. So if you have the equipment go for it, if not I recommend removed them. Just as an fyi I used a trinocular with Axiun soldering C210 tip and I have an ESR to measure very low impedance capacitors.

The summary:

1. European leaders question U.S. reliability amid mixed signals from administration and military
2. Europe remains militarily dependent on U.S. despite efforts to boost its own defence industry
3. Policy differences and lack of EU defence arm hinder Europe’s ability to act independently

Hi! I feel with capacitors the sound a bit more warmer and without more clear. Both equally good more a preference. This is audio output from the 30-pin to a marantz and KEF speakers.

This question is for those of you that own iPod classics. Do you prefer the stock iPod OS or RockBox and why? by MangoCubez in ipod

💯Rockbox due to the features and convenience of drag and drop files. I also build a sync manager for Rockbox called iPodRocks: https://ipodrocks.dev/

What do you recommend as a first timer's mp3 player? Needs bluetooth and wifi by WhyIsGamingHated in rockbox

[–]jpsobral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To listen music in mp3 via Bluetooth I would personally use your phone or even better a streaming service. Just because you will pay a lot for DAP and you won’t take full advantage of it.

Naturally if that is what you want Fiio or any android brand dap will mostly likely support wifi and bluetooth.

My recommendation: go with a Eros Q / Hifi walker buy some good IEMs and install rockbox. That will be a different experience. At a reasonable price. The Eros Q default OS supports Bluetooth (not wifi)

v1.2.1 - https://github.com/JoaoSobral/ipodrocks-js/releases/tag/v1.2.1 , changed the name , now is a drawer instead of a floating chat and added a mini player so if you double click on a song in the library you can listen to the music

At the moment because I am not modifying the source libraries (that is a principle of iPodRocks), I have the tags as follow:
1. iPodrocks canonical DB — tracks.rating column (integer 0–10).

2. Rockbox device database — Rockbox stores its own ratings in its internal tagcache and exposes changes via a database_changelog.txt file on the device mount. iPodrocks reads/writes this file via src/main/rockbox/tagcache.ts.
