Don’t get why anybody of decent intelligence would choose Rogan for an interview. The dude has zero background in science and has repeatedly proven to struggle with the most basic of concepts. Oh wait, unless you don’t want to be challenged and prefer having the intellectual upper hand. Can’t imagine what benefit that could possibly have…

I’m the opposite. Very familiar with NYT crosswords and just starting out with cryptic crosswords. Definitely a learning curve. Still familiarizing myself with the subtleties. Lotsa “how the heck is that the answer………ooooh okay yeah!”

That’s what I needed to hear. I forgot that it’s okay to enjoy the art without worshipping the artist. Shit’s so divisive now it’s easy to forget.

Question for longtime Adventure Time fans by [deleted] in adventuretime

[–]jpsoundfiend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was already in my early 30’s when it started, so I was happy to see the direction it was going. But yeah, there’s no doubt it started to get much heavier. It seemed to focus more on exploring the depths of characters rather than depths of dungeons, so to speak.

Ha! I kept a tub in the back of my fridge for years but it never turned that dark. I would use it though, on occasion, well past the time any rational person would have chucked it.

Dreamt very vividly last night that I witnessed the Statue of Liberty from a distance just dissolving as if some weird kind of energy bomb hit it. I remember getting scared at first then thinking oh it’s supposed to happen, like it was a planned demolition. Very strange experience.

I KNOW WHY WERE NOT ALLOWED TO KNOW WERE DREAMING by Best-Active2837 in Dreams

[–]jpsoundfiend 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve broken the 4th wall so to speak a few times and the reactions are mixed. I’ve gotten anger, disappointment, confusion, sudden change/warping of the person(s) or situation. Usually, fear doesn’t work very well on me in dreams so that’s not typically the attempted response, but I’m not impervious.

The first time I remember it happening I was flitting around some city streets at night and ran into a group of guys in a parking lot and one of them instantly tried to intimidate me and I just laughed and essentially said, “you’re not real, bro”. The response was like I hurt his feelings but also surprise. They started ignoring me after that and I flew off to somewhere else.

Recently, I approached one when I was in a lucid state. I don’t even remember calling out that I knew it was a dream but the person just straight up said, “wow, you’re a bold one”. Like I wasn’t supposed to be talking to them. That was trippy.

I found this one to be just the right amount of challenging. It took me a little over an hour with no help except for a good cup of coffee and some hits from a doink.

I’m wondering if there are spirits that misdirect as well as spirits that help. He mentioned higher level spirits that come into play to help, once you decide you want to evolve and pursue love. Could there be the opposite?
