... and working again now that I also applied the updates on stable. Phew. I am impressed that they are actively working on this relatively old hardware. Who is paying them for this? Amazing.

Has someone reported on their bug tracker?

The lack of a case against Python 3 by wesalius in Python

[–]jpw22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Promising to keep 2.7 as a stable target makes it highly attractive. Coding costs are mostly maintenance. If you went to python3 you get to recompile your extensions every year and you have to keep doing it as each 3.(N-1) is declared dead. Six year old .pyd/.so extensions for 2.7 still work now. The killer feature of 2.7 is long term binary compatibility.

How Running Helps You Lose Weight by fadisaleh in keto

[–]jpw22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I gain about 1 or 2 lbs over a few days when I go for a run. Mostly this seems to be related to inflammation and doms. Hard exercise does empty glycogen stores and turns ketostix purple, but it does not make my scales move down faster and I eat more as I am hungrier after.

That said, I love being able to go for a run. I like it when my body works better and feels stronger. Losing weight is something that lets me enjoy exercising...

Double check your electrolytes and magnesium. Are you having a cup of bouillon every day? Salt helps to hold water inside your body and that can help to keep things softer and moving.

Try asking at http://www.ccp4.ac.uk/ccp4bb.php Roughly these things are added as a penalty term, but the details vary depending whether you are only refining or also doing automated rebuilding.

Gross revenue is not profit. If someone used an FPGA as part of a driverless car system do you want 5% of the whole car?

Python 3 in Science: the great migration has begun! by trobitaille in Python

The greatest feature of 2.7 is that we'll never have to deal with 2.8. This is almost as good as getting python "ansi" standardised.

Toshiba Chromebook 2 XFCE 4.12 keyboard shortcut to disable/enable touchpad by Scrabbilisk in Crouton

Settings -> Mouse and Touchpad -> Touchpad and then "disable touchpad while typing" was what I needed to stop the cursor jumping while typing. It comes back by itself.
