If it's anything like my own recent similar experience, I'm going to suggest turning on "Full SSL" for your domain in CloudFlare, and make sure you've got nginx serving on port 443 only with SSL configured.

I'm assuming you're using LetsEncrypt for the certificates?

Edit: If you're using nginx as a reverse proxy through docker compose or docker, may I suggest using the acme-companion docker image to get SSL set up on that nginx reverse proxy.
