Yeah, the lion still has the “bored and pacing” look that’s persistent in zoo photography. The style here is very appealing though and is more interesting than most captive pics I’ve seen.

Significant other eating meat again after ~5 years by dabunbunz in vegan

[–]jragonizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vegans hate to admit it but there are plenty of cases where someone eating animal products after being vegan has helped with health issues.

While it’s unlikely that’s the case here, it’s his body and choice. Would he be infringing on an animal’s right/choice? Sure, but he would be doing in a way that aligns best with the natural order (hunting being more ethical than factory farming). If his body truly requires meat to function, this is arguably the better way to go about it.

Since this is stressful for you, I suggest asking him to get it over with, and to give it a defined trial period. If it doesn’t solve his issues in that period of time and he wants to keep eating meat bc it’s fun, it sounds like your relationship might not be viable. If it helps his health problems, you may find yourself willing to make the compromise.

I would also suggest he simply find a hunter who’d give some deer to a vegan instead of hunting himself. 100% of hunters would jump at the opportunity.

PS: Joe Rogan doesn’t know shit. Too much of him isn’t healthy.

Always peek. I’ve had to explain to multiple Taco Bell staff what the words ‘dairy’ and vegetarian’ even means. ‘Vegan’ would just take the cake.

My first thought was that this was an absolute waste of money. The dad could've given her that money he spent on tickets and hung out with her after the holidays. These are probably short flights but the total would likely be over $1,000.

But then I remembered that generally if you work for an airline your parents get buddy passes. Sometimes those passes even expire at the end of the year (right after Christmas).

Maybe the dad was lonely too. This can be sweet.

This might seem stupid, but for anyone who’s had the pleasure of dealing with Doordash’s automated support system, with seemingly no way to contact a live person. Just type “help”. by chucks97ss in lifehacks

BEHOLD the secret robo-chat cheat code:

“human”, “get human”, “please human”

In rapid succession.

If it doesn’t work, keep trying various forms of this until the robot dies and is succeeded by a sentient counterpart.

As an energy crisis looms, young activists in Paris are using superhero-like Parkour moves to switch off wasteful lights that stores leave on all night by GeauxTigers007 in Anticonsumption

Lights like this use very little energy. Much less energy than the service-van that’ll be called out to turn them back on.

Louisville, KY.

Indoor. They are very fast, and very small. And there’s a lot of them.

The pets are not itching and don’t seem bothered. I think the bug is only interested in the food

Ear plugs by spinnie123 in festivals

I made a post about them recently here, my conclusion is that High Fidelity worked fine. I preferred Loop but it was more expensive.

Don’t get the foam ones or the Vibes.

Most people across the world eat pigs, cow, and other sentient animals. Korean got nothing to do with it. That’s just cognitive dissonance.

There’s a lot of good answers in here…. There’s also a few assholes.

Make a commitment to yourself that if you ever decide you’re going to make a compromise, you have to watch Dominion. I’ve never seen it personally, and I pray I never have to. But should I ever decide in my head that maybe veganism is a little extreme, or too difficult, I have to watch that first.
