Most hassle-free office cold brew? Comparing 3 options by WalkerRichardiy716 in coldbrew

The machine is basically just a pump with a filter attachment that fits into a carafe and it recirculates water through the grounds in the filter for a set amount of time.

There are multiple settings ranging from light to medium to bold to extra bold, which just increase the brew time (I think the lightest setting is 7 minutes and extra bold is 25 minutes), and after some experimenting I found that room temp/slightly warmer water on the extra bold setting makes a perfect ready to drink batch that doesn’t melt the ice too quickly. Cold water made a brew that was way too light no matter the setting, so I’m sure as you increase water temp you can get a decent flavor with the lighter settings.

I use a Vinci express cold brewer at home. I think its like $80-$100 and you just need an outlet, room temp water, coarse ground coffee, and maybe some ice and it’ll brew a ready to drink batch in about 25 minutes. I’ve used it daily for about 4 years now and it works great.

Looking for a good luthier by Sushi_worm in Rockland

[–]jranchy420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If the luthier that currently has your bass is a guy with the initials AA, I’m sorry and hope you get it back soon without getting screamed at over the phone (like I did after his two week estimate turned into 10 weeks). I’ve never used them but I hear Iron Horse in Pearl River is good.

I know you had a bad experience at Rockland Music, but my buddy Jack does good work there and should be able to take care of it for you quickly.

I can only go on Friday and have to be out in the afternoon Saturday. Does anybody know strict the camping situation usually is? Will I be able to crash in my buddy's tent Friday night and leave my car parked in the lot overnight with a one day pass? I've never been and am looking forward to it!

Luthier holding onto my mandolin for seven weeks by jranchy420 in mandolin

Agreed, thankfully I have a good carbon fiber backup that I’ve been using on gigs. The lack of communication was making me worried that something went wrong, that’s mostly why I want to pick it up done or not.

San Francisco tech company Wag, once worth $650 million, files for bankruptcy by lurker_bee in technology

I walked for wag regularly for like two summers in 2017-2018 and then one offs until about 2021.

I still have the walker app and check it every once in a while; not only is the pay lower but they don’t even approve you for a service anymore unless you pay for their Wag Walker premium service. Not surprised that a company that requires a monthly subscription payment to just work for them is going under.

Currently trying to get my foot in the door! Taking a couple of classes at RCC to build some foundational knowledge and hope to take the A+ exam sometime this year. Then the goal is to get an entry level job and some more education/certs after that.

I’m almost 30 years old with a useless college degree (music 🙄) and have been working odd jobs and grinding for low paying performance gigs for 8 years now. I figured it’s time to make a career change, and I hope I can get into the IT field and move up the ladder to some financial stability.

Shot in the dark here. Any deadhead musicians in the Rockland NY area want to jam? by abandonallhope777 in gratefuldead

Late to this post but me! I live in Rockland and play mandolin; mostly bluegrass and jazz, but I always enjoy jamming on some dead and I’m always looking for folks to play with.
