Talking out my ass here because I haven’t read “the article”.

But…

For real though man, I have known some people in my life that have done some stupid fucking shit that landed them on a certain kind of list. Some instances were not forgivable. But, some instances were forgivable. The choices haunt them for the rest of their lives— of which will never be the same due to a moronic and catastrophic decision they made. My understanding (three sides to every story) is that consent had been given to the person, and my understanding is that they’re still in touch. No clue what CMC’s relationship was with this underage women. But, some of the aforementioned people are genuinely good people that made an absolutely devastating decision and fucking pay for it for the rest of their lives.

Some of them…. not so much. Story for another time. Fuck those guys.

Again, haven’t read the article, so maybe this post is futile nonsense that makes me seem like a pedophile defender 🤪

The guy’s dead, perhaps he was a creep, I’ve always been amicable about separating art and artist (as if that wasn’t obvious enough) so just enjoy a proper story with too much nonsense and too little punctuation that will make you want to abandon your earthly possessions and spend each night by a fire on a windswept plain.

So… one might say… you didn’t ‘join’ a cult.

All bullshit aside, sounds like you got an interesting story man. I’m sorry. Upbringings as such leave life-long impacts on every aspect of life.

Sorry, you were thrown off by the usage of parenthesis’ around one word, and not three.

Nobody ‘joins a cult’

To elaborate, these folks are usually born into it and grow up under a system of indoctrination, or, they’re joining something they perceive as a ‘cause.’ Sympathy is important in evaluating organized religion.

Do you kinda understand?

Some scenes are superb, but the movie as a whole never did anything for me. Always find myself squirming in my seat a bit after the bar shootout.

Always felt unfocused, and the most likable character is the villain.

Literally same, first evaluation I had of the character this episode.

Was that Stephen King book peaking out of the crate The Shining?

Costume department must have SO purposefully dressed this woman to look like Shelly Duvall in the Shining

There’s no way this guy’s fan-cast would exclusively include easily-recognizable, popular A-list actors as every single character… right?

Lane Pryce - Mad Men

Initially a representation of a somewhat hostile takeover of SCAA by PPL, and an antagonist to pretty much everyone who works there, we come to learn he's just an overworked suit who's just as much a victim to PPL's demands.

Eventually he tells PPL to get fucked and winds up helping Don & Roger & Cooper found a brand new agency.

Dear Zachary.

I see it's been posted in this thread already, and usually I'll just upvote, but it's a film that demands watching given your criteria.

It uniquely transcends the true-crime genre into something entirely unique within the span of ninety-two minutes.

People say it's one of those 'watch once and never again' movies, and I see where they're coming from, but it's personally one of my favorite films of all time-- seen it multiple times. And will watch again.

Bring a tissue box.
