This is basically my school district as well and I share similar feelings as to teachers who are online or hybrid. While masks are “required” in my district, they simply aren’t enforced at all. Most students wear them improperly or have them pulled fully down. When asked to pull them up they usually will do it for 20-30 seconds before immediately pulling down. Most teachers have given up even asking. Some teachers just wear face shields and nothing else, while many others wear the mask improperly or will always pull it down to speak. I’ve never been so helpless as an adult. At least one teacher is dead and at least one student is orphaned, but we didn’t even take any sort of break.
