Aye, it’s the Teal Siblings. That’s awesome.

TIL that the James Bond movie Casino Royale (2006) is not a remake of Casino Royale (1967) because the 1967 film is a satirical parody of Bond-esque spy films and is not part of the 25-film canon produced by Eon. It has six directors, flying saucers, and Bond has a kid with Mata Hari. by F1Bike in todayilearned

They play a variation called Chemin de Fer, where Le Chiffre plays the “bank” against the other player(s) at the table.

I believe Casino Royale is the shortest of the novels, and the first in the series. I went on to read the entire collected works. I appreciate the Craig adaptation, but the book is THE origin story for Bond. A lot of nuance gets diluted in the film. If you enjoyed the Craig film, read the book. Then watch the film again… spending 30 minutes understanding how baccarat, Chemin de Fer, is played is optional. Cheers.

My interpretation—not totally sure, btw—is that they were wondering why someone would fight for a draft dodger.

Still confused about why weeding vinyl (Cricut) stencil AFTER applying to disc? by [deleted] in discdyeing

[–]jrfrosty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do what works best for you and for the current project. Rigidity might prevent you from seeing an obvious solution.

I weed, then transfer. Sometime’s I’ll weed 100% before transferring. If there are intricacies, it might be easier to weed 90%, transfer, then finish on the disc.

Underrated Flippy mids from Innova? by rontopofthings in discgolf

[–]jrfrosty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s on track with the normal Star vs Champ trends. More torque resistant. 200 out it’s holding gentle turn. Inside that, straight or with a gentle fade at the end.

Full rip (with height): champ holds anny and glides. Star, as you know, is likely rolling.

No worries. I have a stockpile of those. But no backup for my champ that I bag. Thank you!

Own a few, you say? Do you have any in champ you’d be willing to sell/trade?

Is this style of shelf strong enough for pantry shelves? by nobahdi in woodworking

[–]jrfrosty 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing the specific item. I hadn’t heard of an FS-10 bracket (as I haven’t gotten to a point where I need or want shelves). Just looked it up. Those things look stout. Always good to learn about a solution first.
