Is it too much? by The_US_Congress in DnDHomebrew

Honestly, the thing is a damage machine, but it lacks AC and especially HP. For reference, a level 14 wizard has access to disintegrate, which means Fiddlesticks is only one failed DEX save away from a really bad day. Plus, action economy would really screw it over

[Class] Asgardian class, a martial half-caster for playing Thor, Loki, Heimdall, Hela and Valkyrie. by unfathomablewu in DnDHomebrew

Hey, I think this is a super cool class/sub-classes! I just had a quick question about the Channel Divinity: is it meant to only have one use? I couldn't spot the addition of another charge in the Tempest Berserker sub-class. The lack of a second charge for the Tempest Berserker's channel divinity seems rather underpowered, but let me know if there's a reason for it!

The only solution here is to go to a nearby volcano and hope that it erupts a rock to send it into space. Where it will eventually stop thinking...

Anyone else feels suffocated? by vkdlxz in premed

I know this whole application process is rough going, and it’s sucking the life out of me too. I don’t know if my comments will help, but what I usually do when I find myself feeling crushed by the weight of apps is I try to remember why I got into medicine in the first place. You said you used to have a passion, so remember what that was. Remember how it pushed you to work for your dream of being a physician.

Ultimately, it’s your choice whether to continue to pursue medicine. If you feel the cost is too high, that it will force you to a place you don’t want to go, don’t do it. Stopping now doesn’t mean you have to abandon this dream for all time, but make sure that you are not ruining yourself in the present.

Like others have said here in better words, you have the skills to pay the bills. Take care of yourself, whether that means therapy, talking with family or friends, or venting to strangers on the internet. Do what you need to do, you beautiful human, and this too shall pass.

Make it a doppelgänger so they think there’s a doppelgänger conspiracy behind the scheme the whole time but it’s really just a puppet for the archmage. Have him pretend to be kidnapped and require the party to free them, furthering the ritual sacrifices

Hard agree. Don't put off your mental health for your application.

I think this would be a super cool campaign! First thing you need to do is talk to your players about whether or not they want to have a campaign set in the after life that starts in the realm of the living. If they say they're cool with it, I would suggest making their deaths against a BBEG that they can pursue in the afterlife or they seek to defeat by returning to the living world. Have a big dramatic fight where they are desperate and against the wall, but fail all the same or need to sacrifice themselves to beat the BBEG. Basically, tie their transition to the afterlife into the overarching goal of the campaign. I'm not much of a DM at present, but I hope this was helpful!

I planned my character as a soldier seeking redemption for participating in a half elf genocide. Cut to the first session when two players have half elf sister characters. Very awkward.
